Last month I started spotting at 7/8 dpo. I was hoping it was a one off, but it seems as of this morning it might be the same again this month :-( Anyone else had such a short LP? Does spotting count as CD 1 or should first day of full flow be counted as CD1? Because if it’s the latter then I guess my LP would be a few days longer but still not great. Any experiences or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you ladies

First day of full flow is CD 1. Spotting does not count. You can still get pregnant even with that spotting so please try not to get upset, stressing about it only tends to make things worse with cycles.
Drop fiber if you're using it. Eat 1 serving of full fat dairy a day, 4-6 eggs a week, and 1 serving of salmon if you like it, red meat if you don't. (I think we've already talked about this but just in case)
No more weight loss.

Thank you Atomic. I am only 6/7 dpo and full flow now this evening :-(
Would I be silly to try to conceive this cycle?

How are you determining ovulation again (sorry I know I asked you this in another thread but just want to be sure)
No, you would not be silly to TTC this cycle. This LP tells us about last month's cycle and not this upcoming month.

OPK’s. Clearblue digital ones.
Turns out that was still spotting and full flow came this morning so puts it at 8dpo. I am still breastfeeding so this probably doesn’t help!
I read a thread (need to try to find it again) about af coming in morning means more likely to conceive a boy. I had one af arrive in the evening since doing the LE diet which was very exciting as never had it arrive in the evening before but now it’s back to morning which makes me very worried my body is still in ‘boy mode’. Is this true?

Babylove I know I answered these questions already but just to update from other threads for others who may have stumbled onto this thread:
First - It turned out that this may have been a question of not eating enough fat. You guys need to keep eating at barest minimum 30 g fat and people who are nursing need more like 50-60 g. Not enough fat can delay ovulation and make LP get shorter.
Second - We are observing a trend in people's menstrual cycles coming at different times of day when swaying. It is just a curiosity that we are keeping an eye on. NO ONE should postpone a sway over this, there are plenty of exceptions, it's just something interesting that for now we are wondering "hmmm is there anything to this?"
