Hello everyone!
I’m curious has anyone on here in previous pregnancies felt implantation cramps?
I remember with my son who was a lovely surprise, I was at my aunts house and told her it felt like a tiny little crab claw was pinching my ovaries, she jokingly said (she’s a nurse) “oh that sounds like implantation pain to me!”
Low and behold about a week or so later my period didn’t come and I got a BFP. Has anyone else have this happen?

I've been pregnant six times now and I've noticed nearly every time I get really crampy about a week or so after ovulation. I usually get a bfp a couple days later. In non pregnant cycles I typically don't get crampy but if I do it's much more mild.

Yes it's very common and I had it with one of mine really really severely.

I do remember feeling crampy with other cycles but nothing like that one OMgosh that was crazy.

Glad I’m not the only one! I’ve benn so crampy this week and I rarely ever cramp before my period, but I know I’m too early to test. It’s super exciting but I definitely don’t want to get my hopes up, especially because it was our first attempt!

I didn’t realize feeling implantation was so common! Everyone I know in person says they never felt it, or maybe they just never noticed/thought it was period cramping!

Atomic, I thought I was nuts, the day after we BDed I had horrible cramping, not sure if it was ovulation or what because I rarely cramp with ovulation, but oh man was it insane, it literally felt like contractions! I was losin my mind!

you aren't really feeling implantation. I know it can feel pinchy and weird like that but if your uterus was sensitive enough to feel implantation of a ball of cells smaller than the period at the end of this sentence you could never endure pregnancy and birth. There are tons of hormonal things that happen including the tubes contracting to move eggs down, the corpus luteum, the shrinkage of the leftover unovulated eggs in the ovaries, tons of hormones and blood flowign to your uterus - you feel things going on. it's not implantation but it's some other things having to do with early pregnancy.

I have had cramps the day after BD too sometimes. also have them after ovulation sometimes even without BD. Just one of those things that happen some months and not others.

Yes, I can remember exactly where I was, sitting on the bus, when I felt implantation cramps with my pregnancy that led to my daughter. It was not a strong or painful feeling, and if I had had been playing basketball or something, I wouldn't even have noticed, but since I was awake and not doing anything I noticed.

TMI: what really convinced me that I was pregnant before POAS was that I'd have cramping after orgasm. I had had many, many orgasms before pregnancy, but never felt uterine cramping after them until I got pregnant. Sorry if that's too personal.

nope, not at all, this is a TMI free zone. :) Very common experience.

With my first I had terrible cramps, I was sure it was period pain but nope! I even used a heating pad to help because I was sure there was no way I was already pregnant.

This time around I had tiny cramps, felt more like poop cramps except that I couldn't poop. So yes for me but they were completely different feeling cramps each time.

:agree: exactly that's how they (and O Pains too!) can manifest for many people. Like you have to poo but nothing happens! Or halfway between poo and period/postpartum cramps. The body is so weird. it's because the hormones and blood flow all just rush to the general area and our nerve endings (thankfully) are not sensitive enough to be able to tell the difference.

That’s definitely how I’m feeling today! Like I need to poo but just can’t! Sorry for the tmi, lol things would be so much easier if we just knew what a certain feeling meant, the 2ww is absolutely horrible! Was so much easier with my son, as he was a big surprise so I wasn’t expecting to feel anything!
