View Full Version : Does arrival time of af correlate to gender?

I read a thread a little while ago (need to try to find it again) about af coming in morning means more likely to conceive a boy. I had one af arrive in the evening since doing the LE diet which was very exciting as never had it arrive in the evening before but now it’s back to morning which makes me very worried my body is still in ‘boy mode’. (Especially as I have had a few more treats recently!)Is this true?
Was just wondering other peoples experiences?

I'm not sure how true it is but I have 4 boys and af has always arrived in the morning! Be interesting to see if here's anything to it

Here's the thread: https://genderdreaming.com/forum/gender-swaying-general-discussion/58219-when-did-you-get-af-what-genders-do-you-have.html
I noticed when I conceived my oldest two boys, AF always came early in the morning. With DS3 I had noticed swaying pink made AF come in the afternoon or evening. I think there may be something to it. It's an interesting pattern for sure.

I can't remember when AF came on the cycle I got pregnant, but I know that sometimes I got AF in the morning and sometimes in the evening.
I just got AF this morning but if I ovulate I'm still going to try for sure!

when i swayed this time round i had af coming in the evening when it usually arrived around mid-morning, i think swaying pink caused the change but i still got pregnant with a boy so i wouldnt pin too much hope on what time your af arrives, just to add with my first pink sway i dont remember af changing its arrival time and i had a girl, my 2 non-sway girls were both conceived with af arriving at its usual time of day as were my 4 non sway boys..
if it changes while your swaying then its certainly a sign of changes in your body which is good, but its not a certainty for gender and i wouldnt go skipping months ttc waiting for it to come in the evening as your more likely to start slipping on the important things like diet and exercise if you put ttc off month after month and you cant guarantee when or even if af will come in the evening again any time soon

Here is the original thread https://genderdreaming.com/forum/gender-swaying-general-discussion/58219-when-did-you-get-af-what-genders-do-you-have.html
It's just one of those interesting things we've noticed over time. It does NOT mean your sway won't work if it doesn't happen for you and it does NOT mean your sway is guaranteed to work if it does. It is just one small thing that we are keeping an eye on because it seems to be happening to a good chunk of people and so we are monitoring it.

Atomic - I'd seen the other thread on this before so had seen the theory/idea about morning AF possibly swaying boy. My last two periods (in November and the one that started yesterday - so not counting my m/c in December) have arrived in the morning, like a couple hours after I wake up. So I'm a little nervous about that based on these threads. But, before swaying, AF ALWAYS arrived during the night while I was asleep (like I'd wake up and there it was in full force). Now I get this thing where I have 1-2 days of spotting before AF, and then the last two cycles, AF has arrived in the morning after I wake. Do you think maybe just the fact that things have changed is a good sign in my case?? Obviously there's been other stuff going on too - Clomid, a December m/c, etc. that could be throwing everything off anyways.

I really don't want you guys reading too much into this. It's just an interesting observation we are keeping an eye on, it hasn't been true for lots of people, it's just one of those things where I wouldn't be doing my job if I wasn't investigating it.
I actually think that the "wake up with AF" or if it starts in a few minutes of waking is the more boy-friendly thing (it's how mine ALWAYS was prior to this weirdness starting, and now I see after finishing breastfeeding, cutting back on alcohol, etc finally after like 7 years it's back in the AM again) and having iit start even a couple hours after waking like you're describing is a more pink-friendly thing. So I would not worry about it either way anyway.

I did update this thread with my experiences of the last year here http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gender-swaying-general-discussion/58219-when-did-you-get-af-what-genders-do-you-have.html#post889835

Oh ok, well that's good to know. I've always, always had "wake up" AF so this starting during the late morning/daytime is very new since swaying, so I'm sure it's because of all the changes.
