DH and I have been having unprotected BD since end of AF: cd8, 10, and 12 and then on cd
13, I got a positive opk at 11am. So we tried to BD at night, DH just couldn't finish. He blamed it on being sick and feeling pressured. I tried waking him up today (cd14, O day) in the morning and he said there is no use he is out of it, he has no energy and thinks he won't be able to finish. So I guess if I do get a BFP this cycle, my BD pattern is this: O-6, O-4, O-2 I was so hoping I would have an O-1 attempt and an O day attempt :(
I will try to BD tonight but doubt it will help. It will be over 40hrs from positive opk, I'm pretty sure the egg has been released and those spermies from previous attempts have made it to the egg.
I would be lying if I said I didn't cry. I just wanted it to be perfect since I have two DD with one attempts was so hoping to have more attempts this time to say I gave it my all and it was different of how I baby danced when I conceived my girls.

Go ahead and BD tonight if he can and if not please don't stress about it any more.
For some reason this happens sometimes. I think you may have to put more space in between your earlier attempts to ensure he is good to go when he needs to be (so instead of CD 8/10 I'd do CD 7/10/12 or 13.
Something always goes wrong, it's just how swaying is. Good luck and blue dust headed your way!

Atomic, we went ahead and BD earlier than planned. Instead of at night, we were able to DTD again at around 6pm. This is 31 hrs after positive opk. My original plan was to BD tonight anyway, I just wish we got that O-1 attempt but I am glad we BD now than waiting til later on in the night as I had originally planned.
About the Bd pattern, I honestly don't think it was a problem for him releasing every other day as we have done everyday when not TTC and he was fine. He said he had a long day at work and didn't sleep well. With that said, if I don't get a BFP this cycle, I will try what u suggested.

This is one thing that worries me about my upcoming blue sway too. I know the odds of an O-4 bd reaching the egg are low but it's still a possibility. Maybe you can think of it as having one and a little bit attempts. GL

rachel - I got my first son w/ an O-1 and O day attempt but the O day attempt was the night of O day so very likely it wouldn't have had time to reach egg, thus giving me only 1 attempt. I know I O-d that day b/c of my temp rise the next morning. Also - I seem to routinely O at least 48 hours after +OPK, which apparently is common with women, so it's possible your last attempt still had time :)
GL!! Sending my blue dust to you! :)

Here I am 12dpo, and it's a BFN.
Atomic, do you think it's possible that my DH was, as you would call it, shooting dust? We were doing EOD, we couldn't do 2 or 3 attempts at positive opk but we we got in an attempt on 0-2 and on O day, so basically we did EOD.
Anything you would suggest to increase my chance for a BFP? Should I have DH release every 3 or 4 days instead of EOD? Then try to hit it with 2 or 3 attempts if I can at positive opk? For example have DH release on CD1, CD5, CD9 then we BD on CD12,13,14 (O-2, O-1, O).

Some months just aren't the month. I can't know from here what happened and why you guys didn't conceive this month. I do think you need to make a larger gap between BD rounds earlier on and then move them closer together as you near O to hopefully avoid the stressfulness of last month. :agree: Wheher in that pattern or another one that works better for you, however you want to play it!! :)
