Hello I want to see which way had the best results when getting pregnant with a boy. I wanted to do smep which is every other day. I see people get boys that way, but I also see lots of people get boys by bding on Ovulation day. So can we just do a little poll, can you moms that have sons tell me did you bd Lots or just on ovulation day. Thanks

Well i am not a boy mom but i would like to say that I did both ways (one attempt, multiple attempts) and still got a girl so I am sure you will find mixed results in boy moms as well. Its just not one factor that plays a role. Its a combination of factors.

I think the results will be mixed for this. When I conceived my son we were BDing every day to every other day up to before my period was going to start.

Just a reminder that timing doesn't sway. Atomic has said before that many boys and girls have been conceived on ovulation day. It really comes down to number of attempts, not what day the attempt was. That being said, when DS1 was conceived we were BDing every day for a week leading up to ovulation, with DS2 we had an O-1 and O-2 attempts and with DS3 an attempt on O-2. With my two oldest, DH and I were DTD pretty regularly, usually 4 or 5 times a week for most of my cycle.

A poll wouldn't matter -- it would always be too small of a sample size. Studies, on the other hand, have disproven Shettles several times over. The only difference in the X and Y sperm are weight, which doesn't affect size or endurance. You're going to find people who conceived both genders both ways.

Same here. I BD on ovulation day this time again but still got my third daughter. I agree that it's not just that one factor. I fell off my boy sway a bit and ate a lot less. When I got pregnant with my boy I ate more meat, lift more weights and bd on ovulation day. I guess that helped. I also drank a lot more coffee than usual so I wonder if that messed up my boy sway this time.

Thanks everyone for the reply. Really this is just for fun for me, just trying to pass time without thinking about the what ifs of another miscarriage. I came here, because if I was to dare post a question like this on any other swaying site they would get to butt hurt. So really it's just for fun for me after almost 2 years of swaying I do already know what you guys are trying to explain. I would really like to do the every other day, because of my age and how long it's already taken to get pregnant. But I do thank everyone for taking the time out to tell your storys thanks

Can I ask how much vit.D did you take?

It was all in one tablet for better absorption, vitamin d3 was 400IU

BD lots.

The only time I ever had one attempt (and it wasn't precisely O Day but like 1 am the night before O day) I got a girl.

Everyone I know IRL who has done Shettles timing for a boy, got a girl.

We get 70% girls with one attempt (plus a pink sway) and this falls to 40-45% girls with 3 attempts (so all the gals who are swaying pink and have 3 attempts, get 55-65% boys even while swaying pink!) So I really, really, REALLY cannot ever recommend you guys have one attempt on ovulation (or at any point) to sway blue.
