Ok, so I posted a couple of weeks ago that I am back after a failed sway. I am trying to do a light sway, as I feel I was too stressed over it last time. So here are my questions:
1) I have a cup of coffee everyday with flavored cream and aspartame. Is that ok, or is that elevating my blood sugar too much?
2) I read a lot of women eating white pastries or chocolate or sugary sweets. Are these snacks, meals or after meals?
3) I drink a lot of diet coke, is this ok to do in between meals?
Thank you! I appreciate any input! By the way, we are going to do FR with a cut off. We were thinking of him unloading a bit and then coming back in, if you know what I mean (TMI!). We are thinking he is just too full of little soldiers lol. What do you think?

Coffee with creamer is fine, but if you put quite a bit in there then it needs to be treated as a meal because of the calories. No snacking on LE and anything that's more than a few calories is a meal. You can have sweets, just treat it as a meal. Diet coke is fine between meals. I wouldn't go crazy though and drink tons of it.

Hi Tania!
1)Like ks mentioned it's about if it's a meal or if it's just a drink. So some of the creamer options are super cal-heavy and some people are using a LOT of creamer so it ends up being a 300 calorie or more confection and not just a cup of coffee. So if you're having a reasonable amount of creamer it's fine (and we really all did some form of that). if it ends up being much more than 50-100 cals, then it's a meal.
2)With a meal or instead of a meal!! As long as you don't have PCOS, insulin resistance, or more than 30 lbs to spare, it's fine to have them. Just not all day every day. put them with a meal or instead of.
3)Anything unsweetened or very low cal is fine between meals.

I'd roll with that. I had about that much in the mornings. I wouldn't do more than that though.
Re the number of equals, I like you guys to stick with 2-3 servings of aspartame per day just in case of any hidden health risks. Personally I don't think aspartame is harmful, but that's the amount approved by the FDA as safe during pregnancy, so that's the amount I generally aim at. Totally up to you, though.
