A little background: I have 3 wonderful, healthy little boys that I would not trade for anything in the world! I had my oldest son with an ex, and he is his only child. My middle and youngest sons I had with my current fiancee and he also has a son from a previous relationship, so you can see why I would love to have a little girl to balance everything out :) When all of my boys were conceived I was on a typical HE, blue sway diet and didn't even realize.

I started the year out with a goal of losing 20 lbs before I ever even stumbled across Gender Dreaming and sway tactics. I was on a bit of a LE dist. Completely cut out sodas (I don't drink diet), have about 2-3, sometimes 3-4 bottles of CL a day, have cut way, way back on my red meat intake, started baking my chicken when I make it and started incorporating ground turkey into my diet since I cut beef for the most part. Breakfast usually consists of light yogurt, a granola bar, and an apple or pear. Lunch most of the time is whatever was leftover from dinner which lately has been some variation of baked chicken, turkey tacos, or turkey spaghetti with whole wheat noodles. Sometimes I might throw a salad in with light ranch or raspberry vinaigrette. I've also majorly cut back on coffee and wine, which from what I've read may or may not sway pink?

Neither me nor my fiancee have taken any supplements, but we also haven't started attempting yet either.
We used to try to DTD once or twice a week but recently I've been pretty wiped out from work so once a week and he takes care of himself a few other times through the week.

Looking for any suggestions at this point! Thanks in advance!

Also, I feel like I should add that I haven't really been doing any kind of exercise either. I work as a wound care nurse in a long term care facility and I'm on my feet for about half my shift, but it's really nothing crazy.

Your diet sounds fine to me and if you want to do LE, be sure to stay within limits (1500-1800 cals, 30-60g fat, 40-50g protein). ALL foods are allowed, but I'd skip anything heavily fortified like breakfast cereal (maybe skip the granola bars? not sure if those are fortified or not). It sounds like you're not snacking which is good for pink. Having an overnight fast of at least 12 hours helps too.
If you can't fit in the exercise that's fine, but if you think you can do it, it's great for pink. We've found coffee and wine (or any alcohol really) do sway pink. Results have only gotten better since those were added in!
DTD once a week is pink friendly however for best odds of conception, do either one attempt at pos OPK or just DTD every four days which will give you one attempt. Good luck and let us know if you have any other questions!

Thank you! I thought I might be on the right track, but I wasn't sure about the granola bars either lol or the frequency of dtd

Hi and welcome!!

We have stellar results using coffee and wine as a pink sway. I strongly suggest keeping them in the mix and I have an in depth explanation here: genderdreaming.com/forum/gender-swaying-general-discussion/56791-vices-swaying.html

Your diet looks good to me, just want to reiterate what ks says about staying in the limits - it can be easy to cut back too far and we need to be sure you can continue ovulating and get and stay pregnant at the end of this.

As for when to BD, we have had some people just have unprotected sex once a week and then hope that you luck your way into a BFP. May be something to consider! Or, you can do OPK and have one attempt at positive OPK, or have intercourse once every 4-5 days instead. Whatever will work best for you. Just avoid having more than 1 attempt in your fertile window (O-3 through O Day) at least the first few months.

Since you're on your feet that much I'd consider that exercise.

If the granola bars are vitamin fortified, skip em. If they're just granola-bar-y goodness, fine to continue

That link looks weird, try this instead genderdreaming.com/forum/gender-swaying-general-discussion/56791-vices-swaying.html (http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gender-swaying-general-discussion/56791-vices-swaying.html)

Thank you ladies so so so much! I will check the brand of granola bars and see if they're fortified...hopefully not! Are there any sodium or potassium limits? That's another thing I've seen conflicting things about..

In the old school mineral balancing diets (which were only about limits of calciium, magnesium, potassium, and sodium in foods and nothing else) they had sodium and potassium restrictions. So some people still want to try to limit those things. But there's a lot of conflicting data about what really sways in terms of diet and it's very unlikely that the minerals are really doing anything (at least not in the way those old diets said they do). So most of us have given up totally on sodium restriction - and our results have only gone UP since we did! I got my daughter eating tons of sodium after getting my 4th boy while limiting it.

potassium was only supposedly ever reduced to make sodium "work better" (which it doesn't). Additionally, these old school sway diets had people drinking tons of dairy foods which is loaded with potassium in it. So in order to make their diet work out mathematically, including both lots and lots of dairy but also limiting potassium, they had to cut out all other potassium rich foods. There has never been one speck of evidence that any of these foods even sway, but people avoid them because they're scared of potassium - even when they are NOT doing the dairy foods!! ON LE Diet, we actually have a hard time getting enough potassium for your body to continue functioning so it's important that if you are not doing tons and tons of dairy (which no one should be because it can sway blue) that you are not limiting potassium foods since you very likely need them. The limits for potassium on all the diets are the same - 2500-3500 mg a day - because that is the amount needed for your body to function.

You guys are so amazingly helpful! I was looking into renal diets since they restrict K and Na. I was not looking forward to cutting back on my tomato sauces or potatoes! Hopefully I will be able to purchase a meal plan soon, but if not I feel pretty prepared either way. Thanks for giving me a bit more confidence in this thing :)

Are there any at home cardio routines I could do? I think that's the only thing I'm unsure of at this point (so I say at the moment)

Yes, check out Youtube, they have lots on there! I personally like PopSugar Fitness and Blogilates. Working out with Anna and Cassie are like visiting your most perky friends LOL. Just look for ones that are dancy and not musclebuilding since they have both. :) And if you discover something you really like let us know!

Those are exactly what my friend suggested when we decided to start a diet this year! I thought about them, but thought, hmmm let me check into this lol

Seriously, do. I have done a zillion workouts but those ones are head and shoulders above the rest, both in terms of inspiration and the workout you get from them. And they're free!

SuttonBailey

Free is the magic word there! Lol! Much better than purchasing a piece of heavy equipment one of my boys will inevitably hurt themselves on.

Also, sorry to keep asking questions, but what is up with biorhythms? Is that something I should seriously look into, or does it hold any weight?

Also, I was wondering if diet coke in place of coffee works in the mornings? I'm not always able to make a cup of coffee before I leave for work in the morning, but it's always pretty convenient to grab a diet coke from the vending machine. I do believe the caffeine content is about half of what is in a cup of coffee though.

Biorhythms were invented by a mental patient on the premise that all women always have 28 day cycles (they don't) and debunked in at least 134 studies. I wouldn't bother with them.

Diet coke doesn't replace coffee. We believe it has nothing to do with caffeine but something in coffee itself. So it's fine that you need to do that now and then but the Diet Coke is not a replacement for the coffee. Artificial sweetener has not been very successful for us.

I prefer you guys stick with the approved safe amount for TTC - 2-3 servings of 12-16 oz. each. I have seen people get boys drinking amounts of aspartame that approaches insanity and I just cannot believe it is doing anything at all, given that fact. I mean when people are drinking gallons a day for months at a time and get boys, I really can't buy into it for swaying. I even have wondered if it may sway blue (since so many of the people doing the most aspartame seem to still get boys anyway!) http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gender-swaying-general-discussion/44710-hypothetical-aspartame-thread.html

I've usually had 2-3 16oz servings of CL and a can of diet coke. Today so far I've skipped the diet coke and had maybe an 8oz cup of coffee (or however much a k-cup makes) with a little bit of almond milk which I used to avoid the fat of creamer or half and half. With the suggestions you've given I feel as though I've stayed in limits although I'm trying not to obsess too much over them. I tend to throw myself wayyyy too into things and think I may have a bit more T than I should. Don't need to skyrocket it with obsessing [emoji28]

Also, I just read over the 21 day meal plan...what is your idea of one glass of wine? Wine is a huge vice of mine (usually reds, but I'm sure I can find a white or blush I can get along with), and I drink mine out of what my mother would call a goblet lol to me, it is a regular glass

Wine is fine and allowed for sways. Whatever you like.

I have both your questionnaires, will try to get your plan to you ASAP. :)
