Hello all, I can’t seem to find a real answer to my question. My husband and I have a three year old conceived naturally early into our marriage. Now he’s been suffering from terrible ED and performance anxiety. So I’m 33 he’s 36 and we had our first natural cycle iui timed with the trigger shot. His post wash count was 17 million 90% motile. 80%a’s. I’m not sure how they grade them. Anyway my question knowing that we do not have fertility issues just performance issues. What is the success rate of conceiving through the first iui? Is it 20%? I have found this forum to be extremely knowledgeable in conception. Thanks for all your input.

Give me a few days to reply before bumping. Since I answer from oldest to newest, bumping the post puts it up to the top of my rotation again and actually makes it take longer for me to get back to you.

20% I think is optimistic. While most people do eventually get pregnant via IUI it can be hard to get it dialed in, in terms of when to do the insemination (sometimes that is very hard to figure out). Most people are also having intercourse in addition to their IUI and so no one is really sure if it was the IUI or the natural intercourse that ended in conception, and obviously that's not going to be an option here so it may take longer.

So I would go in hoping for the best, of course, but expect BFN. That way you won't be too upset if it does end in BFN and you will be overjoyed if it succeeds. FXFXFX and keep us updated!!!
