Quick advice needed re-timing please

I am nearly 3 weeks late to ovulate, which is extremely annoying and I am spending a fortune on Clearblue digitals lol! Atomic suggested we start doing e4d but this makes me feel nervous! I would ask her but I need an answer before I think she’ll be online today!
I have all the signs that ovulation is close but still had a negative opk this morning. It is our day to dtd again if we are sticking to e4d but is it pointless dtd if I had a negative opk today? We can dtd this afternoon but then won’t get chance again until tomorrow night if we don’t, so if I got a positive tomorrow morning I will have wished we had dtd this afternoon as then it’s would be too late until tomorrow night. But if I don’t get a positive until Sunday then it would be best to not dtd until tomorrow! Arghhh it’s so confusing!! And all so unknown! Please someone help!!!!

Well the whole point of E4D is so you don't have to worry about OPKs and figuring out when to DTD. It still gives you one attempt in your fertile window. Worst case scenario you'd have an O-4 attempt (most likely too far out to be viable) and an O-day attempt. If Atomic told you to do E4D, then do that and just have your attempt today if you're due for it.
