Hi all I finally got my bfp recently and I’m 5 weeks pregnant tomorrow although still nervous and hoping so much this baby sticks I can’t help but notice the worries of gender disappointment creeping on although I know I gave my sway my all I’m already struggling with the thought of failing because this will deffo be our last baby.

Am I insane? Does anyone have any advice? Thank you

It's normal, we've all been there! Just try to keep in mind, you can't lose! no matter what, whether you get another gorgeous little boy or a little girl, you get something wonderful and amazing that will change your life for the better.

Little girls are great, but boys are great too. I honestly think boys should come in pairs like shoes!!

I agree with Atomic. Either way you get a sweet baby to cuddle! I really wanted DS2 to be a girl and was a little disappointed to find out we were having a boy but I wouldn't trade him for the world. It's funny looking back now that I was ever disappointed. He's actually the girly one of my three since he loves pink, purple, sparkles (oh my anything with glitter!!), and right now he's obsessed with my little pony to the point that he wants to be called "the amazing and powerful Trixie." LOL Even though he's so different from DS1, they're best buddies. I'm so glad they have each other. All that being said, I hope this is your daughter but if not, you get to give your DS the wonderful gift of a brother. :)

Girlsway - I feel the same way, this being our 3rd and final baby, because I just want a daughter sooooo much. So you're not alone. I'll be honest, I went through pretty bad GD when we found out DS2 was a boy. But he's turning 3 soon and I just can't imagine not having him. Like KS said, he's so different from his big brother but they just adore each other so much, and I agree with atomic, I do think boys should come in pairs! The brother bond is just so precious. The other day DS2 curled up on DS1's lap and fell asleep - cutest thing ever! (He doesn't even do that on me and DH!) So I wont tell you that if it is a boy you wont experience GD, but I can tell you that in time once he's here you wont be able to imagine having had any other baby. And that all being said, you swayed hard, so this could very well be your girl anyways!!

I’ve haven’t had GD so I can’t personally speak to that, but I will say that having 2 boys is so much fun. Mine are finally starting to play together (4 and 2) and it is just adorable. My second son is also my snuggly one- he always wants hugs and tells us he loves us all the time. I can’t imagine having a girl instead of him! Also, even though both my kids are boys they are so different. You just never know what you’ll get. Fingers crossed for a girl for you!

I agree so much with everything everyone has said. My two little boys are best friends! I love it so much! Glad God gave me exactly what I didn’t think I needed at the time. GD is real for sure, but like ABC my guy will be 3 in April and I could never imagine a girl in his place. He’s exactly what our family needed and the lord knew more than I did which baby we needed to add to our family at the time!

I do hope this is your baby girl though! [emoji175]

Just wanted to say congratulations! May you have an easy pregnancy and delivery and no nausea!!

I don't really have advice about gender anxiety because I know when I get pregnant I'll be in the exact same boat!
