Low testosterone/ shots

A friend just found out her DH has low testosterone. He has to take testosterone shots now, and she is curious if it would sway? My assumption is that it would sway boy. Is that right?

Can I say again this is why I LOVE QUESTIONS. Never even thought to look this up.

You know, weirdly, what grits and I noticed independent from each other, was that guys who do a lot of artificial stuff to boost testosterone, actually end up having more GIRLS than boys. In fact, this was one thing that led me to come up with the whole "sperm count matters more than male hormones" idea.

Now to research this q I did a little Googling and look at this...http://www.nytimes.com/1996/04/03/us/testosterone-injections-work-as-contraceptive.html granted, this is old but I also found a lot of similar posts and threads on various message boards like this one: http://www.healthboards.com/boards/showthread.php?t=702062 where people on supplemental testosterone had terrible sperm count numbers. And not to mention several studies that seemed to find that testosterone actually could be a legitimate male birth control technique.

So I would tell your friend to get pg ASAP because she may not be able to later, and also that the T shots may actually sway PINK by lowering sperm count.

Wow, that's NUTS! She already has BGB, but is considering a 4th, but wants another boy. I will pass on this info to her--I (apparently wrongly) told her it would sway blue!! Yikes!

Oh, and when you say "weird stuff to boost testosterone" you mean things like drugs, like the shots we are discussing, etc? The regular boy sway supps aren't a concern, right?

The regular boy supps are not a concern because that's just kinda convincing your body to step it up a little bit. I'm talking about the stuff that is a wee bit stronger than drinking gelatin water :)

Yes, steroids and the drugs that are precursors to steroids or make steroids work better. NOT the stuff that your body makes itself, the stuff that turns you from a 98 pound weakling into Mark McGuire in 6 weeks.
