Hi everyone. I have been on and off with ttc since last year due to some family issues. We moved a few times and DH lost his job, so we decided to postpone ttc till this year. So we have finally decided on ttc full on this coming May no matter what happens. I am super excited, and I cannot wait to get knocked up! I have about 2 more cycles before our first attempt, but I want to get everything in order before the time comes.
Vitamin: I'm currently taking Women One A Day vitamin before bed time, as it makes me sick if I take it during the day. I'm not sure if it matters when you take it. Also, I'm planning to take additional Solgar folate (as Metafolin) 800mcg in the morning and 400mcg in the afternoon, and the other 400mcg would come from One A Day vitamin. DH is taking gummies Men One A Day. I know the pill would be better, but that's the only thing he can take. DH said the pills are too big for him to swallow . But better than nothing, I guess.
Exercise: I have been doing 20 mins HIIT cardio (mostly lower body), 20 mins abs and 20 mins weight training upper body for 3 times a week. Is it okay if I do whole body workout each time for only 3 times a week? I'm too lazy, so I prefer to do whole body at each session hahaha. But I don't mind splitting them out to more days if it really helps with the sway. DH works out 2-3 times a week as well.
Diet: I think my usual diet is already pretty much HE, so I don't think I need to change too much. I always eat breakfast (toast with butter or eggs). I am not a big fan of cereals, is it okay if I don't eat cereals? Lunch and dinner always have meats, carb and veggies. And I always snack all day long. I love beef jerky, string cheese and salty snacks (chips, roasted & salted almond, sea salt with dark chocolate, etc.). I am 5'3 and 120lbs which makes my BMI approximately 21.1. Is it okay if I maintain my weight or do I really need to gain a little bit? DH eats pretty much same thing I eat. He doesn't snack much though. I usually drink 2 cups of green tea in morning, and water throughout the day.
DTD Plan: I'm sorry in advance for the TMI. I plan to dtd every 2-4 days after my period with pull out method to keep everything clean and fresh, and have our 3 attempts at positive OPK. For those 3 attempts, I'm planning to use Preseed, and will be taking Mucinex a few days prior to O as my CM is pretty thick or creamy and not stretchy. I am planning to take this one https://www.walmart.com/ip/Mucinex-12-Hour-Chest-Congestion-Expectorant-Tablets-20-Ct/12018745.
It only has guaifenesin as active ingredient, but it has a bunch of other inactive ingredients, would it still be okay? The inactive ingredients are Carbomer 934P, Nf; Fd & C Blue #1 Aluminum Lake; Hypromellose, Usp; Magnesium Stearate, Nf; Microcrystalline Cellulose, Nf; Sodium Starch Glycolate, Nf
So what do you guys think? Is there anything I'm missing or should add to make my sway stronger? Thank you in advance for all your advice :)

Overall everything is looking great! So sorry to hear of the roller coaster ride you've been on, hoping things are looking up for you soon!
1):agree: with vitamins
2)Exercise looking great, yes it's fine to do whole body 3x a week with a day of rest in between.
3)Diet sounds great, fine to maintain on weight if you prefer. No need to eat cereal if you don't want to as long as you're taking that multivitamin!
4)DTD plan sound perfect. yes that guaifenesin is fine, those extra ingredients are just to formulate the pill with.

Atomic: it was tough but I am glad things are slowly settling down now. DH is still looking for a new job, but we are ready for our own family. I cant thank you enough for going through my plan and for all the useful info on the website. Hopefully we will get our bfp within first couple cycles but try to be more realistic on the timeline hahaha.
Btw, my cycle seems to be on the long side like 37-45 days. Is there anything I could do to bring my ovulation forward/shorten cycle without hurting the sway?

Has it been this long only since starting the green tea, by any chance?

Has it been this long only since starting the green tea, by any chance?I always drink green tea since I could remember, so I dont think that it affects my cycle. I was using bcp before for about 5 years. Before using bcp, my cycle was 30 days long. And after I stopped the pills, my cycle became super long. I checked with my doctor and she said it is normal and not to be concerned as cycles could become longer as I get older. I dont really believe in that, not sure if bcp messed me up. I should not have used bcp for so long :(. The doctor said they cant do much now as I am still young and i need to ttc for at least a year before they look into it any further.
Maybe I could stop the tea this cycle and see if it improves anything.

yes I agree with you, it's the BCP. Doctors are really reluctant to chalk anything up to BCP because they have been prescribing them so freely to everyone but we have seen lots of disrupted cycles after stopping them, and the longer you've been on them, the longer it seems to take for your body to correct.
Just for giggles, yes switch over to black tea this month.

I have just ran out of green tea. Perfect timing. I will try black tea this month. Hopefully it helps. It just sucks that I will have to wait so long for each cycle and less chances to ttc in a year.

You shouldn't beat yourself up, they made them out to be safe and fine to stay on as long as you want to but so many of us went on to have problems coming off them! You're not to blame at all, you're the victim in this. :/
FX that switching tea helps!

So I have removed green tea last cycle (not completely as being Asian, there are teas at every meals and it is hard to choose the type of teas sometimes, but at least I dont drink it on daily basis like before). My cycle seems about the same. Not sure if it helped, but I will remove it from my sway for now.
So last month, I have done a trial to see if DH can bd 3 times in 2 days. After our bd, I just lay flat and slept through the night. And apparently I got UTI [emoji852][emoji852][emoji852] boooooo! I told the doc and let him know I am ttc, and he prescribed me ciprofloxacin 500mg for 3 days. I did some research online and some people say it is not safe to take while ttc and it could take up to 6 weeks for the antibiotics to leave my body. Is it true? Should I take it or just try drinking water to flush it out? If i take the antibiotics, is it safe for us to ttc next cycle? If i just drink water, i am afraid the bateria will still be there while we ttc and would that affect anything?

Personally I think cipro is fine as long as you are not actively pregnant at the time. Some people like to terrify
Don't drink water to try and "flush out the medicine". That doesn't work and additionally drinking too much water can wash nutrients out of your digestive tract before you have time to absorb them (bad for sway) and can even mess up your electrolytes so severely that it can kill you if you drink too much (and sometimes people get sooo carried away thinking they have to flush something out of themselves that they can drink harmful amounts)
If you're talking about flushing out the UTI instead, drinking SOME extra water can help them clear up, but it depends on how severe it is. If you're in agony then you need to take the medicine. But you can try it for a few days - eating some garlic as well, to see if it helps.
The bacteria being there when you are TTC would simply mean that the UTI could come back more easily once you were having sex again. It wouldn't harm your sway, but UTI are no fun and can progess to kidney infections so I just want you to be very sure you're ok before trying any home remedies and take the medicine immediately if you think it's getting out of control.

Thank you Atomic. I meant to try drinking water to flush out UTI bateria, not the antibiotics. I just have mild symptoms, uncomfortable a bit when using restroom. Do you by any chance know how long the antibiotics stay in our body for and does it sway blue/pink at all?

I thought so but just wanted to cover both bases.
Cipro leaves the blood in about 24 hours according to both drugs.com and Web MD.
Have you seen this? It may put your mind at ease. https://www.drugs.com/pregnancy/ciprofloxacin.html
We don't know how antibiotics sway. I have seen no reliable data pointing either direction. The old school sway gurus claim they sway blue, but we know that PRObiotics sway blue so it may be that antibiotics sway pink. Or they may be totally neutral and have no effect (especially if you're taking probiotics at the same time. We just don't know.

Atomic, we tried first time this last cycle and so thrilled to get our bfp!!! [emoji4] I have been taking one a day vitamins. Just wonder if it is also safe to take while pregnant or should i switch to prenatal vitamins? Also, I am not sure how much longer I can stomach those horse pills, so what do you think about Vitafusion prenatal gummies?

Yes the One a Day is in line with other prenatal vitamins (and in fact is better than many, I took it as my prenatal with my last 3 babies!)
The Vitafusions have way less "stuff" in them. If you want to switch over, please do so gradually by alternating the One a Day with the Vitafusions for a couple weeks as you start gradually taking the Vitafusions more often and the One a Day less often. when you've whittled it down to 1x a week on the One a Day you can switch fully to the Vitafusion.
And please do keep taking the higher dose of folic acid or folate till you're at the end of the first trimester and then gradually wean off.
