Hi! I am brand new here and husband and I are just starting out on this journey to have a baby girl. We have 3 boys--- ages 7, 4, and 2. Hubby has had low testosterone and this was confirmed at his dr so he was prescribed testosterone shots. He has been doing the shots for maybe 5 or 6 months. I've read here that low testosterone is needed for a girl sway, correct? Just wondering how this is going to affect our sway. I realize he needs to stop them. Just wanting some info and guidance here. Thanks!!

It's funny because we have many blue swayers on here whose hubbies are on testosterone shots and they are worried because they've heard the T shots will sway pink, LOL!

The truth is, we don't know how/if testosterone sways for men (we don't even know that it sways for women!!) We see men taking steroids who have T levels through the roof who have LOTS of daughers (it's common knowledge among weight lifters that the guys who "juice" have all girls). So much of this is assumptions that are really not supported by much data at all.

What I would do is talk to your doctor. The odds are that he may need to come off them for TTC anyway since testosterone shots can really mess up sperm count/quality and in that case no worries. If he needs to continue them, I would honestly not sweat it because they do lower sperm count and lower sperm count = more girls conceived anyway.

Most of the things hubby has done for swaying have not panned out to be at all successful. It has been shown time and again that it's the stuff we do - since our bodies have to get pregnant and carry a baby for 9 months, plus raise them! So don't get too wound up about things that hubby has to do or wants to do - they really don't seem to make a difference.

Thank you so much for taking the time to let me know your thoughts! I've been digging everywhere for any info on this. I found on a few men forums the same as what you said. Hubby doesn't want to get off of them so this will be good news to him. Thanks again!
