Atomic help! My eczema has been flaring up tremendously. It’s really out of control, my dermatologist prescribed a strong steroid cream to help clear it up. I was searching the forums and saw that steroid creams sway boy!
Would using a small amount for a week here and there ness up my sway? I’m desperate with my skin at this point. The eczema is on my hands, which makes doing pretty much everything hell, and leads to quite a bit of infections. I’m hoping using the cream won’t harm my sway, stuck between a rock and hard place

We don't know if it sways or not - the original idea that steroid creams sway blue, I really do doubt it.

But my concern (as a fellow eczema sufferer) is that I have found they don't really work that well in the long run. So use it for a couple days or as-needed to knock it back a little but then go out and get some cream like Cetaphil (I have found Cetaphil to be the best for eczema) and use it as a lotion - don't rinse it off, just apply it like a lotion - and over time it really does help a lot more than the steroid creams. :)

I’m glad to hear that!!

Cetaphil works wonders! Thankfully I’m only going to need the steroid cream for when my dishydrotic eczema acts up, just to reduce the “tapioca bubbles” and swelling. I won’t be using it often at all. I hate steroid creams and try not to use them.

Thank you for the response. I hate having eczema, I’ve noticed a lot of eczema sufferers have sons, I wonder if there’s any correlation?

Yes exactly - just get thru the bubbly stage (as you can see, I'm a fellow eczema sufferer) and then when you can, switch over to the Cetaphil.

Have you changed detergents, dish soaps, baby wipes, lotions, or cleaning supplies recently? These things are HUGE triggers for me and until I get rid of the stuff I can't shake the eczema.

Yes I agree. I believe that people with some types of autoimmune disease tend to have more boys - one of the things I'd love to have money to study.

Isn’t it the worst?! I could deal with the dryness it’s the bubbling that absolutely kills me!!!

I haven’t changed anything. I think it all had to do with my stress level. When I was pregnant for the short time I was my hands were practically healed up for the first time in 2 years! Then shortly after the loss I was back to bubbling, be tween that and stressing about my sway my hands are a mess!!

It’s very interesting, I wonder why that’s the case! And I wonder if that is the case if there’s any way to kind of counter act it, when it comes to swaying! Or if the diet alone is enough?

Well, I got 4 boys and then a girl only to find out last year that in addition to eczema I actually HAD an autoimmune disease that I'd had for at least 15 years and based on symptoms, likely since I was in my teens (this means I got at least 2 and probably all 4 of my boys while having the disorder). Plus we've had plenty of swayers with Hashimotos, celiac, and Crohn's get girls after several boys with swaying. So I can assure you that this is doable for ANYONE to get a girl even after several boys and even with autoimmune stuff going on.

I suspect that it may be that our bodies are just more hyperactive in many ways. Our immune systems are super efficient and this may be because we've had overall less taxing infections, more quality food over our lives, and also are more prone to PCO-tendencies than others are (more caloric intake, more likely to get PCOS). That's why our immune systems are so worked up - not enough enemies to fight and so they get "bored" or "confused" and start attacking our own tissues. But I don't know that for sure, it's just speculation.

It’s so interesting how different things can be potentially “swaying” without knowing or even trying!(like for you having an autoimmune disease) I was actually came across a video of the mom from “honey booboo” and realized she had all girls, I watched a few of the episodes that were aired and the way she ate, was totally BOY! Is there anything that could “unknowingly” sway girl? The way that autoimmune diseases sway boy? Or is this just unknown? Or maybe just pure luck.

I only have one boy so I honestly don’t know how my body will “react” to this sway! My diet prior to before my son was so packed with protein and fat and so high calories wise (definitely overboard in every way possible)

We have seen a trend where both super thin and heavyset women do tend to have more girls for reasons we can only guess at. I have an essay on it here http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gender-swaying-general-discussion/3187-big-girls-little-girls-baby-girls-boys.html

Please keep in mind that this is ALL unknown, including the concept that autoimmune diseases may sway blue. I don't have any proof other than anecdotal that this is the case.

I suspect that there are a great many things that unwittingly sway pink. I see disproportionate numbers of people who have unexplained infertility (they go on and on not getting pregnant even though everything in the blue sway should make it super easy to conceive, or have a history of taking a long time to conceive with other conceptions) and whose husbands have serious health issues in my blue swayers group. These couples also go on to have more opposites with otherwise good blue sways, too.

I’m definitely going to take a look at that essay, it’s so strange because before I had my son my husband and I were constantly having unprotected sex, for about a year before getting pregnant! I was very unhealthy and ate horribly, before concievinf my son. I was also very very overweight. I felt like with him my fertility was most likely compromised, but o was eating very boy!
At this point I’m at a mix of LE diet and PCOS diet, and I’m curious to see how that works out for me!

I wonder if there could ever be some experiment on all of these theories and ideas from this group. It would be so cool to see all of this more known and out there! Before I heard about shuttles I had no clue gender swaying was a thing! I always just thought it was the luck of the draw! Seeing all of the data on here is so mind blowing!
