Hi everyone.
Recently had a 20 week ultrasound and was told 80% sure boy. We are thrilled with a boy but I always thought 3 lines means girl.. or is that just early on? Thanks!

Looks like a boy to me but not the best potty shot. There appears to be too much sticking out for that to be a girl. Boys can appear to have three lines too (my DS2's ultrasound is proof of this) because of the scrotum/penis being viewed at a certain angle.

What you have to understand is that boy and girl bits are really the SAME bits, it's just that hormones make them turn into boys and lack of hormones makes them turn into girls. So the bits do look somewhat similar when captured on the ultrasounds. Girls do have 3 lines but they don't have as much sticking out (esp at 20 weeks) Congrats on your boy!

Do you have a picture of your boy's ultrasound? Thanks!

I do! I actually posted here about it (can't believe it's been 5 years!) http://genderdreaming.com/forum/ultrasound-gender-prediction/34409-16-weeks-potty-shot.html#post470184

The funny thing is even though he's definitely a boy, DS2 is the "girliest" of my 3 boys, as in pink glittery rainbows kind of girly. :giggle:

Wow this is very much like my ultrasound. That is enough to convince me it’s definitely blue on the way then 💙💙💙
