I have never been a coffee drinker as hot coffee has always made me feel sick, so if I was to start having 1 iced coffee a day, would this help or potentially hinder my sway? I only put in 1 tspn of instant coffee and I can use a tspn of artificial sweetener and then mostly milk with a bit of ice in it. Just not sure whether its worth it seeing as I would be having a full cup of milk to get the coffee, perhaps I could use the smallest amount of milk possible to make it palatable and then just down a small concentrated amount, like half a cup? lol any thoughts would be much appreciated.

Also, I am a big fan of juice, and drink 1-2 glasses a day with meals (grape juice, mango and passionfruit, apple etc). Also, have a weird craving to have a few sips first thing in the morning when I get up (around 8am). Can anyone suggest a good alternative (maybe cordial etc?) that I could drink instead of it that will be girl friendly for my sway? and will having a few sips of juice at 8am going to stuff up my low blood sugar fasting in the mornings?

Also, my husband has been on some sort of weight loss protein shred thingo for the last couple of months (pic of products that he's taking) could this affect anything in my sway negatively? would it be best if he stopped while I was in the 12 week diet stage? I will also be having him take OLE during the 12 weeks.

Hi! I'm not an expert, but I'll answer anyway and atomic can correct what's wrong:

Coffee isn't the end all of swaying, so I think you'd be better off without it rather than suffering with it.

Maybe try carbonated water instead of juice? Or fruity herbal tea?

Theoretically a man building muscle increases testosterone which sways boy, but whatever a man does (other than being exposed to certain harmful chemicals) sways less than than what a woman does, so IMO it's not worth it to ask him to stop unless the swaying was his idea.

Hope that helps!

Thanks for your input MrsEnglish, much appreciated. I am not a fan of anything bubbly/fizzy so will probably stay away from carbonated water, but I havent tried fruity tea before so thats an option. Would it be best if it was something artificially sweetened? and if so, what drinks do ladies have that are?

yea I would definitely be interested to hear what atomic thinks about the things hubby is taking.

Hi missiz, sorry to jump on your thread but just some advice, atomic says she works through the threads from the bottom (oldest) up to the top (newest) and by bumping your post you're actually bumping it back up to the top so it will actually take her longer to answer. Hope you don't mind me saying but I've seen atomic say that a few times.

As for the coffee I probably wouldn't have a full milk cup of coffee, unless you treat it as a meal. I would drink black coffee, struggled with it at first but eventually quite liked it lol. Obviously atomic can advise you properly but I always thought the less nutrients I was taking in the better and I know milk has a lot so thats why I opted for black coffee. Good luck.

Iced coffee is fine, I'd have it with a meal and be sure to count the nutrients in the milk, that's all.

In the mornings, you can try something like cordial or anything that's artificially sweetened. Or, have a few sips of juice. While it is technically not allowed, it may be something that you prefer to have, and I suspect that while it may make your blood sugar go up for a short time, it will soon drop again right after that. This was what I personally chose to do and had real live sugar in my morning coffee - I knew since my previous two sways had not worked that I could be miserable for months and still get a boy and no sugar in coffee saps my will to live, so I decided to have a planned cheat. I still got a girl. So while it's technically to be avoided, I doubt it's a dealbreaker.

I'd definitely have hubby stop the L-carnitine, that's a supplement we use for blue sways. I am having a hard time finding the ingredients of the other two (I often have this problem with proprietary blends like that) As a general rule I'd have him stay away from them since they're probably fortified, but they very well may be "less bad" than the carnitine is. He should defo give that one up.

@mandy - thanks so much for letting me know, I wasnt aware of how that works so that makes complete sense hahaha :P I will patiently wait for future posts to be replied to :P thanks hehe

@atomic - I could definitely try a cordial of some kind, do you know of any that specifically uses artificial sweetener? after having a look I notice most are boasting "no artificial sweeteners" lol

ok I will definitely get hubby to stop the things he's taking in the 12 week period before we try, would that be a long enough time to get it out of his system?

It's ok to bump after 5-7 days or so, because sometimes I do open a post and start to reply and then get interrupted so it looks to me like i replied when I didn't. But yeah it will often take me 3-4 days to get thru all the free posts and bumping before that only makes me answer later, not sooner. :)

Yes 12 weeks is plenty.

I don't know any brands off the top of my head where you're at, but anything that is very low to zero calorie is ok. So even if it does have "natural" sweetener (many will have stevia or sucralose as an example, and while they are not "artificial" in the strictest sense, they are still fake sugar) it should be ok as long as it's low to no calories. Some sites claim that stevia sways blue due to "alkalinity" I really doubt that it does and I think it's fine to have for a pink sway.
