Question about irregular periods

Hello! I am a mum of a boy and want to sway for a girl probably won’t make first attempt till later in the year or possibly next year but just want to start gathering as much information as possible and I will be purchasing a plan etc , but in the meantime I am charting my cycles which has always been regular of 29 days , last two have been 35 days with a random day of light spotting 5 days before period? Also my temps are so up and down my chart confuses me and I have 9 days of Ewcm what can be going on do you think?

Variations in cycle are not unusual or abnormal, but they can be caused by swaying too so give me more info and I can help.

If you post a chart I may be able to decipher things.

It's not unusual to have EWCM for many days esp. in a longer cycle.

Peppermint tea can delay and even stop ovulation. I would cut back to 2-3 days a week. Peppermint tea IS an herbal supp, I know it seems odd since it's sort of an everyday thing but it really does mess up the cycle.

If the doc said AF is on the way it probably is but honestly based on that chart ONLY I'm not 100% that you ovulated LOL. What I'd do is have a spicy dinner, a hot bath, and sex with female O to see if it brings on AF, and if it doesn't within a day or two, I have to point out that whatever the doc saw was wrong, and you may not even have Oed!!

the date I had internal scan was Wed 14th March ,

Boy, I'm pretty skeptical because if you'd just Oed at that point, she'd not "be able to see period was on its way". Something strange is afoot here. What exactly did she say, if anything, to describe why she thought AF was coming??? I wonder if you have an ovarian cyst suppressing ovulation.

Well she would know if she saw a corpus luteum and they can tell by the lining if you're getting close, but you should have gotten it by now if she'd been correct, I think. I would still try the spicy dinner and hot bath trick and see if it comes, if not then she was mistaken and you could still be pregnant or even have yet to ovulate.

Low temps at beginning of the cycle can be normal, don't necessarily mean anything at all. it's always wise to get a thyroid check every few years if you haven't had one recently but I suspect the cycle irregularity at least this month is the pep tea.

You can't tell the side you ovulate from based on twinges. You develop eggs on both sides every month and it's been shown that ovulation can actually relieve pain (like popping a ripe zit, LOL) and many of us have experienced worse pain on the side that did not ovulate, because it stayed swollen and tender till after the eggs were reabsorbed.
