All of you boy moms, what timing and frequency?

I am ttc boy so I thought I should come on here and ask all of you boy Moms, when did you DTD and what was the frequency for your sons?

Positive opk and day after
Didnt have a pattern, just went by dtd positive opk day and after 1/2 days

Infact with all my boys deffo did opk day and day after plus 1 or 2

Thank you for replying. Did you get a +opk in the morning and DTD at night? Or would you DTD as soon as you get that +opk and then the day after?

Those days i could only bed at night. I cannot be 100% sure what times during day i got pos opk but deffo did at night every time

Very little. Had a lot going on at home / family
Back then i just knew about dtd around ovulation and to up chances by day after pos opk also. Didnt know what swayed for what sex.
If i can il try find my dates and see what they said as i kept a lil note of these things 😁

Back in 2013 i dtd cd 11 and 12 and then cd16 pos opk- no further notes so not sure if i bed again
In 2015 i bed alot more by my notes! Cd10,16,18,21 pos opk, and cd22
These are rough as not all notes make sense, im sure they did back then

Over the course of our marriage, my husband and I had regular unprotected sex 3-4 times a week during all the times I was not fertile. Then when we were not trying, we used pullout. I have always been quite fortunate and had a pretty regular cycle so it was easy to manage this and we never got preggo accidentally (except for when we were taking chances we shouldn't have been.)

With my first son, he was an oopsie and only had unprotected sex 2x the day or two after my period ended but I ended up ovulating early and got pregnant, had to be a pretty long cutoff, at least 3 days because I'd just gotten off my period but at the same time I was not tracking ovulation in those days, just not having sex in the middle of the cycle, so I can't 100% say for sure how many days it was.

With my second son, we were trying but my husband changed his mind so we stopped BD, we thought in plenty of time, but again I did get pregnant and with at least 3 days' cutoff. I was much more savvy about my cycle then and we had definitely stopped BD 3-4 days before I ovulated.

With my third son, we were trying for Shettles cutoff and so we BD a few times and then my husband had to leave and I ovulated when he wasn't even at home LOL. Again, a cutoff 2-3 days and again, we had absolutely stopped BD 2-3 days before I ovulated.

With my 4th, I wasn't ovulating regularly due to breastfeeding and so we were just having unprotected sex regularly. I honestly do not know when I got him in relation to ovulation because I was not having my period, but I do remember having a few unprotected attempts.

DS1 - bd’d cd 12, 17, 21. Wasn’t using opks so not positive of O but likely around day 18ish
DS2 - bd’d cd 13, 16, 18. Positive opk cd19 pm & cd20 am.

DS1, we DTD every day for a week until I ovulated so pretty much 6 or 7 days in a row. DH was exhausted! LOL

DS2, we had an attempt on O-4, O-2 and O-1. For the most part we were DTD 3-4 times a week for a lot of my cycle.

DS3 was one attempt at pos OPK so O-2. We were really only DTD every four days, sometimes less often than that.

First few were DTD often. Last few were once every 3-4 days. But we usually dtd every few days on a regular basis (until now lol)

With my first son we had sex every day, sometimes twice. Don’t know when I actually ovulated though, but according to the first ultrsounds it must have been earlier than I thought.

With my second I was tracking temperature, so I attach my „curve“, as we say in German.

S+ means EWCM, a heart means dtd, and my opk was positive on CD15 and a little less on CD 16 again.
We were both sick, so maybe the temperature serge was also due to the fever :))

I also have to add that I have been very obsessive to get pregnant, like „Hey darling, today we HAVE to have sex, okay?!!“ even we both have been sick with fever and stomach ache as mentioned.
It was the 4th month we were ttc and I was veeeeery stressed. Often we have been soooo tired but I nearly „forced“ him into bed.
My hubby didn’t like this at all but I couln‘t change it..

boys 1-4 regular bd i didnt sway or track ovulation back then (i also conceived 1 girl during this time)

then had 2 girls both from 1 attempt

followed by boy 5 from an every 4 days (mon-fri-tues etc) bd pattern

DS1: DTD the day before +OPK, got + mid afternoon and DTD that evening...also the day after.
DS2: Positive opk mid afternoon, DTD that evening.

Used preseed & hips up for awhile afterwards (not sure if that matters?)

With both my DS we dtd almost every day the month we conceived, and had multiple (at least 3-4) attempts in the fertile window. Laid flat afterwards for about 20 minutes. In the months before ttc I think we had regular bd, like every 3-5 days on average.

With ds 1 did acouple attempts (don’t remember how many)and laying down for 2 hours, did had a bigO AFTER dh’s, missionary. With DS2 was doggy’s style and i jumped and dumped immediately,no big O & also a couple of attempts in the fertile window.
