View Full Version : Week 11 Ultrasound Madness...Gender Guesses?

This week I ended up having two different ultrasounds. One at 11wk3d and one at 11wk6d. In the ultrasound from 11wk3d, you cannot see the baby's nub at all. In the ultrasound from 11wk6d, you can clearly see the nub. Everyone is pretty much 50/50 on whether I am having a boy or girl based on my ultrasound, but I something inside of me is convinced that it is a boy. I have attached the ultrasound from 11wk6d. Any insight?

Too early for nub guesses, sorry. Closer to 13 weeks is better. Congrats!

Considering the fact that the scan was rather early I also would say boy, since there is already a gap between the nub and the body.. do you know what I mean?

I totally know what you mean. That’s what I keep thinking too. I’ll be getting another ultrasound in a couple weeks, so hopefully I will have a better idea then. Thank you so much Linni!

Agreed that 11 weeks is too early for guessing but since there is already a bit of rise on that nub (when they all should look pretty girly at this point) I'll give you a boy guess too.

So I was looking at some of the pictures from the second ultrasound session and the tech was able to get this potty shot. I know it’s still early but does this go away or is it a boy?

Thank you for your input MiaMelb :) We’ve been praying for a boy, so I hope everyone’s guesses are right.

Potty shots are totally unreliable at 11 weeks. ALL babies, boy or girl, have something that sticks out between the legs at that gestation.

Fingers crossed this is the boy you've been hoping for!

Actually I‘m pretty sure it’s a boy...
I‘ve been studying nub shots since when I was pregnant with DS2, and there was only ONE nub that looked a little risen and was a girl indeed.
So...I would say that’s a pretty good sign you got your boy!
