I’ve noticed that short /petit woman have a lot more girls than tall woman. Is that because the tall need more calories protein &fat to take ? It’s quite interesting!

I've never seen anything supporting this? Is there a study somewhere?
I know, scientifically, taller woman have been observed more often to carry twins though. Anecdotally, most of my family is actually quite tall for women and we've predominantly had girls or a mix.

I don't think so. It has more to do with metabolism than height. While yes, some petite women do need fewer calories, there are those that consume a lot more because of a fast metabolism. Petite women=more girls certainly isn't true for me as I'm 5'1" and for most of my non-pregnant adult life, my weight has been between 95-105 pounds and I have three boys. FWIW I know lots of all boy or all girl moms and I've yet to see a correlation between height and their children's genders.

I've noticed the opposite! I always see tall women with girls and I think it's a little counter-intuitive because men benefit so much more from being tall, whereas a tall girl might have fewer mating opportunities.

By the way, this isn't exactly scientific but most of the tall man/short woman pairings I know have boys.

I'm just guessing here, but here's my theory: If BOTH mother and father are very short (mom 5'2 or shorter, dad 5'6 or shorter), then they have more girls. Comments on this welcome!

At least one study seemed to find tall parents = more sons. http://personal.lse.ac.uk/KANAZAWA/pdfs/JTB2005b.pdf But no one knows why that may be, and it is VERY FAR from a sure thing...because if you stop to think about it, where would very tall women come from to begin with if everyone who was tall, invariably had boys?

This is me, and we def. have no shortage of boys LOL.
I am on the short side of average (5-4) and have 4 boys (my husband is tall, though). My mom is relatively tall for a woman and my dad is tall, and between them they have 3 g 1 b (and my mom also lost a girl). I am a short mutant freako much shorter than either parent but I still have way more boys than both of them put together. :)

5'4" is the average in the U.S.! ;)
The tall male bit was interesting. I've seen that a lot in terms of attraction... though clearly my tall ass husband (6'3" ) is not holding up his end of the bargain haha
