I’ve been averaging exercising 5x a week since I started adding exercise to my sway 3 weeks ago. I elliptical for 60 minutes.
Questions -
-I’m a little afraid I’m gaining muscle. I haven’t lost much weight (maybe 1 lb [emoji53]) so that’s why I think I may be building muscle. Does this seem possible or concerning?
-I’d love to lose some flab from my tummy. Are crunches okay to do? Or would this have the same negative effect that lifting weights has?
-I started the LE diet (or at least trying to figure it out as best I could) at the beginning of March then added exercise at the beginning of April. Do I need to do exercise for 12 weeks prior to attempt just like LE is recommend for 12 weeks?
Thanks!

It's pretty much impossible to build muscle on LE. I was doing about 80-100 miles a week on the stationary bike and I was thin but flabby. Lol I had no muscle definition at all. I'd skip the toning exercises and just stick with cardio but it's up to you as it's your sway.

We don't know how long cardio needs to be before attempting or if it even matters. I wouldn't worry about it really because you may not even get pregnant the first cycle and end up doing exercise for longer anyway.

It is tough to the point of impossible to build muscle on LE Diet. Plus, aside from that, we have never proven that "building muscle" is even bad for a sway. It is just a theory. But we KNOW based on our results that exercise works. So it does not make any sense to give up exercise out of a fear of building muscle (which you are not doing) because we know that exercise sways pink.

As long as you are not gaining weight on a lower protein diet you cannot build muscle. You may look more defined but that is from the fat on top of your muscle going away.

No, crunches are not good for pink sways. They're weight lifting, just that the weight you're lifting is your own body.

No, you do not need to do exercise for 12 weeks. Start TTC at 12 weeks on diet.

Thanks for your responses! I’ll keep chugging away at LE and do my best to keep up elliptical only and no crunches. [emoji4]
