I have been having insulin resistance since few years now and mostly I’ve been able to control it through diet and exercise. I have seen recommendations here that we need to take full fat foods not skim if PCOS or insult resistance. I wanted to know how it helps since I’m afraid if I start taking full fat milk etc I might start putting more weight. Can anybody explain this to me please? Currently I take light milk and no fat yogurt and weight loss has been great so far . TIA

Because skim dairy and fat free foods are terrible for blood sugar. Full fat dairy DOES NOT make you gain weight when you are limiting calories to a reasonable amount overall. That is a myth and has been completely debunked. A few nutritionists are still hanging onto it but it's widely recognized as a huge error in judgement that likely caused Type 2 diabetes and obesity to skyrocket.
You are undermining your sway hugely if you have insulin resistance and are doing skim dairy and fat free foods. Carbs are your arch enemy for insulin resistance (and also PCOSers) and by choosing skim dairy and fat free foods when you have insulin resistance/PCOS you may as well be freebasing sugar. Your blood sugar and in turn testosterone will go up due to excessive amounts of carbs.
Additionally, full fat dairy is much better for maintaining fertility while on LE Diet. Skim milk actually harms your fertility and since many things we do for swaying also harm fertility somewhat it's a good idea to eat full fat dairy occasionally for everyone. In fact I have everyone who has trouble conceiving eat full fat dairy daily!

Another thing is at the moment my weight is very
Much under control and I don’t be symptoms of insulin resistance...in fact being on LE diet since last month I have lost 2kgs already ....if I’m not having bad insulin resistance is it ok to do skim diary?

Carbs are your arch enemy?? Whenever I’ve read/asked about LE diet protein and fat levels were mentioned but not carbs...? If anything I was told not to worry about counting carbs and just worry about protein/fat. [emoji22] I feel like I totally messed this up...[emoji30]

Even if my symptoms are not bad ?
I’m skipping breakfast too and keeping my totals to about 1400 per day since I’m breastfeeding too ....

NO, this poster has insulin resistance. For people who are insulin resistant or have PCOS, they need to limit carbs and skim dairy (for reasons we don't understand) has a type of carbs that are really aggravating to any insuin resistant tendencies.
Sometimes my answers are not for the general population but for a specific set of circumstances. I try to be super clear about that but sometimes it sneaks by me. Sorry for confusion.
NO ONE SHOULD COUNT CARBS ON LE DIET!

Anyone with insulin resistance needs to be on full fat dairy. Period, end of story. Not open for debate. You are seriously undermining your ability to conceive and your sway doing skim dairy with insulin resistance or PCOS.
If you're breastfeeding you need to be on 1800 cals a day minimum. I often have people who are breastfeeding up protein and fat to 50-60 g each (which is what you should be doing on the alternate form of LE Diet that those with insulin resistance use anyway) So I would really like to see you doing 1800-2000 cals a day, 50-60 g fat and protein (not counting the fat and protein in fruits and vegetables) and full fat dairy only.

Hi atomic. Thanks for the clarifications...I will start doing full fat from now on....regarding the calories/day, earlier I was doing about 2000cals till my baby was 8 months....nd I did not lose any weight at all...but when I lowered my calorie intake I can see the weight dropping off beautifully and gradually...nd my milk supply has not dropped too...nd anyway I’m not swaying till next year so this year just want to lose some kilos in a healthy way and then when I start swaying I will be little more strict about skipping breakfast regularly etc....do you this is a good tactic?

Ok. If you have a lot of weight to spare and your milk supply is still good, it's ok but please err on the side of eating more, rather than less, and don't hesitate to up cals immediately if weight begins to drop off quickly or your milk supply diminishes.
At BMI 21 you need to stop losing weight and start holding steady and do not go under BMI 18.5 under any circumstances.
Yes do whatever you want for right now (as long as it's healthy) and then please wait till 12 week prior to your sway to start the LE Diet proper.
