I haven’t really modified my diet but I had a late term loss in December (my 3rd boy) and so I have been working out a lot and trying to lose weight it took me over a year to get pregnant in all my pregnancies so my doctor agreed to put me on clomid. Is it too late to change my diet? Also I am not understanding how to do the one attempt thing. Did I read right that you DTD every 3 days until pos OPK and then stop? My husband is out of town 4 days/week. Either mon-thu or tue-fri so I’m not sure when we should try! Any help would so greatly appreciated.

I'm so sorry for your loss. We've seen best results with diet for at least 12 weeks. I guess it depends on when you plan to TTC and what you're comfortable with. One attempt has gotten great results and if you don't want to worry about OPKs, then DTD every 4 days is what is usually recommended. So either in a Monday/Thurs (better odds of conceiving) or Mon/Fri pattern (more pink friendly). Not necessarily those exact days, just that many days apart. Let us know if you have any other questions!

Thank you. Atomic said a while back that miscarriages can also sway pink. Do you know how long that is? I’m just wondering if I wait another month to take the clomid and work on my diet if that would be better?

We don't know. Miscarriages do sway pink but clomid is also a great pink sway. Honestly if it were me I'd do the clomid and diet but it's your sway of course!

No, not too late for changing diet! Better late than never! http://genderdreaming.com/forum/trying-to-conceive-a-girl/16780-low-everything-diet-nutshell-version.html
Given your husband's schedule I don't want you to do any of the standard methods. I want you to BD unprotected right before he goes and then right after he gets back. This is a method we use for people whose hubbies or they themselves work those type of shifts and it works well.

Miscarriages can sway pink but if you need to wait to start Clomid, I would absolutely do that. Clomid is much more reliable than the miscarriages are.

Thank you! We will do that. Would you recommended me starting clomid today (I held off yesterday) my cd6 is today but I haven’t done any diet changes. Also, is he allowed to release during the week or should he abstain when we are not together?

I find that starting Clomid later ends with BFN more often than not so I'd not have you start it today. It's your call to make, of course, but for best chance of conception and a girl I'd love to see you hold off this month, start diet, and then hit it with Clomid next cycle. :)
I would have him abstain if he's willling to do that. It will really boost your odds of conception for him to not be cleaning the pipes constantly, and daily release has not worked well anyway.
