Hi parying4agirl! Good to see you again! [emoji2] I also think this is not a reason to worry. The babies are so small at this stage that if the sonographer puts the marks for the measurement of the size only some mm wrong, it will make a difference of several days. And maybe baby was turned slightly and the sonographer did not measure the whole length of the baby. I had an ultrasound last week as well and baby was lying between the yolk sac and the edge if the uterus and I saw that the sonographer was rather guessing where to put the marks for the size measurement.

I could imagine that at your next u/s baby's size will match with your positive opk again.

How are you doing? I have had very bad nausea and vomiting but the last days it seems to be getting a little better finally...

Hi Verena, thanks for your message. Yes the sonographer did say not to worry but guess their paid to say that lol.
Ive had bad nausea too, caught a virus off my lil boy which totally threw me, shot my tastebuds and i couldnt stomach any food. Had to go hosp for fluids as i just couldnt get out of bed!
When are u finding out gender?

Oh no, that sounds terrible [emoji44] I hope everyone is feeling better at your house!

I'm thinking a lot about getting a NIPT test done. I told my doc to take blood for the test at our next appointment, which is on tuesday already [emoji33] but those tests also give you results on some chromosomal anormalies and I'm not sure if I want to find out about that. Unfortunately there is no gender only test... Are you still not finding out?

I would not worry about that small a discrepancy, I agree 100% with what Verena says that while ultrasounds ~can~ be extremely accurate, in the real world the techs get in a hurry and just ballpark things and it's not at all unusual for them to get things a little off in either direction. :) FX and I hope you're feeling better!

Thanks Atomic - i havent been feeling positive in this preg so was concerned.
Ive got my 12 week scan end of this month and thats when they’ll do downs screening etc.
Im still keen on not finding out, tbh ive convinced myself its a boy so if by chance it is a girl then happy days.
Verena can thy just not tell u the chromeosome results if u dont want to know...?

You may get out of the first trimester and have lots of energy, though. You never know. I hope things are looking up soon!

Oh no I'm so so very sorry!! Have you tried very sour candy?? (I have a recollection we talked about this already, sorry for being repetitive if we did) That is what got me through a few of my pregnancies.

Hi!
4 of my girls measured slightly behind, as long as it's no more than a week they will keep your dates. I had one girl measure pretty spot on, and then this baby is measuring 3 or 4 days ahead. It's not exact, it's an estimate, try not to worry.

Also lemon water helped ease my sickness. Good luck

Yes we did talk about this ☺️
They do help but then my mouth gets sore from sucking sweets alday long. No food is appealing at all, so bad that i cant even bring myself to put it in my mouth and then that causes hunger which leads to sickness. Vicious cycle - hoping im over it soon!!

What do guys think about anti sickness/nausea tablets?
I was prescribed them for my first preg but i had issues that im so worried about taking any meds in pregnancy

I was prescribed them for my first preg but i had issues that im so worried about taking any meds in pregnancyI'm taking agyrax against sickness/vomitting and it is helping so much! Here in germany it is rated as the drug of choice against sickness in pregnancy, but I don't know if you can get it in the UK?

I had my blood drawn today for the NIPT test and atm I think I will let them tell me all the results. Hoping so much baby is healthy!

Ive been prescribed med starting with P which ive reluctantly taken and seems to be helping. I have been told to take 3 times a day but stretching it to 2 times only atm. The meds leaflet does say not to take when preg but read online drs give it to fair few people for sickness. Its also given to people with mental issues i believe which is worrying, i really wish i could avoid the med but today is the only day that ive not been sick through the night and so far in the morning. Got 3 mnth scan next week so heres hoping all stays well and this sickness disappears soon!!!

Med is called prochlorperazine

Good to hear the med is helping! I know it's not easy not to worry, but docs are so careful with prescribing medicine during pregnancy. They wouldn't give it to you if it wasn't 100% safe. Good luck for your scan!!!

The thing is that a lot of medicines that are supposedly for "psychological" reasons have other benefits too. it's like how benadryl can be used for allergies or for a sleeping pill - it does more than one thing. Doctors gave me anxiety medication for when I was having dizzy spells and it worked! Medications often act on more than one system in your body.

Hopefully the sickness will clear up soon and you'll not need the medication any more. :)
