Just asking out of interest. I often have a small bleed (spotting) at ovulation time. I read online that the blood can be caused by the follicle rupturing ie as the egg is released. This cycle I had ov spotting in the am (which I actually ignored and put down to my hormonal imbalance as I wasn’t expecting to ovulate that early!). We BD’d in the pm (approx 8-10 hours after the spotting). lo and behold, a BFP a few weeks later. Do you reckon we dtd after ovulation? Or does the spotting not necesssrily mean ov took place then? My temp had risen the next morning and FF selects that day as ov day. But I didn’t think you could get pregnant after o...Am just interested! Well, I’m also a bit worried it might sway blue as it suggests maximum number of sperm in play!

You can get pregnant after O but I agree it's a pretty long shot, especially since true O spotting takes some time to find its way out. I suspect what you thought was O spotting was coming from the cervix or lining instead. At ovulation time your cervix gets really soft and can sometimes spot, OR since many people have a sudden quick drop in estrogen (it is still really high, but it drops from sky high to kind of high, LOL) and you may slough off a bit of lining when that happens.
