I was hoping that you ladies would be able to help me out. I am about to start my third IVF cycle and in the contract I signed it said that I should not take any supplement at all, as it can be bad. It didn't mention any specifically.

I see a really good naturopath who specialises in fertility and IVF and have had 2 failed cycles so she has put me on TT for the last 2 months and I am supposed to take it this month as well.

Is there anything specifically wrong with TT? I really want to take it as I have read the benefits on egg quality is good and I have already done 2 months with it and was mean't to take it this month up to ovulation with the IVF cycle. I feel my egg quality in the past hasn't been so good.

Hope this makes sense and I am posting in the right forum

What do you think?

Sorry it took me so long to get back to this question!!!

I think you MUST speak with your doctor about TT if you want to take it while you're cycling. Honestly, we have had some mixed results with TT - it is DEFINITELY affecting people's hormones when they are taking it and that is just NOT what you want to be doing without consulting with your doctor. It may be extremely helpful for you, it may do nothing, but either way, your doctor needs to know so he/she can take that into account when they design your protocol.

There are a lot of other things that are good for egg quality without risking the hormonal effects, and you can read about those here: http://genderdreaming.com/forum/showthread.php?803-Boosting-egg-quality

The good news is, that after 2 months on the TT, even if you stop it now, it probably helped you make a good egg and now you can just coast without having it in your system for your upcoming cycle.

PS - have they given you any suggestions about what's going on?? I'm concerned about your DH's sperm quality after reading your siggy. He should def. be on something for sperm quality if he isn't already.
