What do you all think about breastfeeding and swaying blue? Would love your opinions on it ! I'm going to start TTC thisOctober and I'm currently exclusively breastfeeding. Planning t stop in July or August so that I can get my cycle back on track/ also planning to start preparing for the sway in July/August with diet and exercise.

I think it's supposed to sway pink slightly. If you are not bf when you are actually ttc then I think you should be ok

It makes you less fertile by design so it will sway pink

It sways somewhat pink, but it's not a dealbreaker and I hope that everyone will nurse as long as they personally want to and not worry about the sway per se. The further you are postpartum, the less it likely sways (because it suppresses your fertility, that is why it sways pink, but it will suppress fertility less and less the further out you are from your previous baby being born)

Hmm thank you for this insight!!! Regardless of swaying we were plannning on having our babies close in age and our plan has been to start trying when this baby is 11 months or 12 months old.
I'm currently 7 months post partum- breastfeeding and have not gotten my period yet !!!
DH doesn't know I'm planning on swaying so it'll just be little things I do on my part.

Crazy- 7 month old at home and I'm already planning for the next and a sway on top of that! Haha

That is not uncommon among blue swayers to such extent that I have a thread about it here (which you have actually already read and commented on, Tali, but for others who are interested in reading more about child spacing and blue sways. http://genderdreaming.com/forum/trying-to-conceive-a-boy/57710-blue-swayers-why.html

I have two sons and conceived DS2 while DS1 was still breastfeeding, he was about 11 months old. I was not swaying either :)

Like Atomic said, breastfeeding does sway pink but it certainly isn't some magic bullet. FWIW I got pregnant with DS2 while still nursing DS1 at just one year postpartum.

We believe it does still affect it a little (because breastfeeding is a biological state that you're in) but yes as the gap between kiddos widens, it likely sways less and less.

I’m going to try and sway blue while breastfeeding. My baby is 10mths and we’re going to ttc in August when she’s a year.
