So this morning I received my first positive LH test. We DTD this two days ago and his morning (before I got my positive 😕). The Femometer app is suggesting I continue testing every 4 hours now. What is the point of this?

If you already got a pos opk, I don't see the point in continuing to test especially if you already had your attempt(s).

I think 4 hours after a positive is unnecessary, but I wonder if they suggest testing further at all in case you have a longer surge?

My LH tests are back to negative (2 positives yesterday) and my BBT didnÂ’t show any sort of spike this morning. Does that mean I am not going to ovulate this cycle? Or can it still happen in a day or two?

You may still ovulate soon or your body geared up to but couldn't for whatever reason. Most likely you'll O sometime between today and the next day or two. It can take 12-24 hours after O to see a temp shift.

Ok. I’ll just keep temping. Thanks for your response!

On average most people see a shift in temp/temp spike the second morning after day of pos opk. Ovulation generally takes place between 12-48 hours after initial (first) pos opk, but can be even 72 hours. That is why its suggested to dtd at pos opk as you'll generally o the following day (which gives time for sperm to capacitate in order to be able to penetrate egg) and see a spike in temp the second morning confirming basically that o has occured the day before. Best conception odds are with a 1-o or 2-o attempt which will normally be achieved by dtd at pos opk [emoji4]

Was it a positive (peak) or a "high" fertility reading?? I don't see any point testing every 4 hours UNLESS you were only in "high" fetility and the app is waiting for the peak. I'm not familiar with that app so I can't say for sure.

It was a Wondfo testing strip

Ok. Then there is no point in continuing testing after the positive unless you have reason to believe it was a false positive.

Ok. I still didn’t get a temp spike this morning but did get another positive test. Not sure what is going on. Will keep temping. Hoping to see a spike tomorrow 🤞🏻

The egg might just be having a little trouble getting out of the gate so to speak. Hopefully you ovulate in the next day or so.

I would probably switch to e4d method just to cover yourself - so either 72 or 96 hours after your last attempt, have another attempt regardless of what your OPK is telling you. (72 hours later may be better for conception, 96 hours may be better for pink)
