The past few months I’ve been focusing on LE but now I’m moving into the part of my sway where we’ll actually start trying.🤞🏼🤞🏼
I’ve gathered that one attempt at positive opk is best but I need clarification on what exactly that means...
Should we not dtd AT ALL the rest of the month except that one time? Or should we just not do it within a certain timeframe prior to expected opk? If we use protection the other times do those times not ‘count?’
Is one attempt at positive opk better than one attempt 2-4 days prior to O?

I’m trying not to spend an exorbitant amount of time on here so as to not get sway-cessed so I would LOVE any feedback or someone pointing me to the correct essay to read.

Thanks!

You can still DTD, just use protection just in case. You never know if ovulation will come early or not. Have your one unprotected attempt once the OPK is positive (or a solid smiley depending on the type of OPK you're using). The reason why it's suggested to have the one attempt at a positive OPK is because it gives better chances of conception than say DTD 3-4 days before O. Also, it's hard to tell exactly when 2 or 3 or 4 days before ovulation might be. Even with regular cycles, swaying can make them wacky or you might just have one weird cycle where O gets delayed.

You can DTD with protection. That is unprotected attempts within the fertile window O-3 thru O day only (and I'd avoid O-4 and O-5 too simply because we aren't totally sure how it works)

The issue with attempting 3-4 days before O is not for the sake of the sway (since timing has been proven not to sway) it is for odds of conception. O-2 and O-1 are much better chances of conception, and that's when the attempt at positive OPK tends to fall.
