Hi Atomic and everyone!
so now I have my bfp of course I'm panicking about my sway!
I think I read that the worst case scenario with E4D is to have 0-4 and O day attempts- well of course that's what I ended up with!
I'm here stressing about
a) having an attempt on o day- like 6-8 hours before o, and
B) that I had two attempts because the 0-4 was in my fertile window ( ds2 was conceived with 3.5 day cut off so I know I'm capable of getting pregnant with that kind of cut off)
Please please help a girl out and break it down for me- have I ruined my girl sway? Did I have two attempts and please tell me it's possible to get a girl with perfect shettles boy timing I.e 4 day abstain and o day attempt.
Thank you in advance for any comforting words it's going to be a long anxious wait until I get my nipt!:nails:

I just read a sway in the add your sway section where the poster had done exactly that and got a girl!

Thank you for taking the time to post that ohdeer. I remember that sway- I even commented on it!
Makes me calm down a bit I must say knowing it's not impossible xx

I totally understand your anxiety. I’m in the same boat and constantly going over all the things I might have done wrong or could have done better. But I try to tell myself what’s done is done and what will be will be and I can’t go back and change anything. But it’s easier said than done! Hope we both have the best outcome for us xx

Totally understand -- I am CONSTANTLY making myself nuts with reading sways and going over mine all the time. I'm worried I had TOO much BDing now, didn't eat enough calories, didn't have breakfast soon enough, shouldn't have even bothered because of DH's sperm... etc.!
BUT, I can say that I think the diet/lifestyle is still king (or queen!). I've seen lots of girl sways with your timing. And I did have 2 attempts in my fertile period with DD (though they were a cut off -- but like you, I've gotten pregnant with big cut offs!)

No, it's O-3 and O Day, and when I say worst case, I almost always put "air quotes" around it because it's really NOT a worst case anyway. Because if there is anything left over from O-3 it's going to fertilize the egg before the O Day shot capacitates, and if there isn't, then the O Shot still has time to capacitate and hit the egg...meaning it's still going to be one attempt in the vast majority of cases. This is even more true with O-4 and O Day since the O-4 shot really has next to no chance at the egg.
I have 3 of 4 boys conceived with perfect Shettles girl timing and 1 girl conceived with perfect Shettles boy timing (and the other was a sneak attack, he was prob a cutoff too) My timing with my daughter was probably exactly what you had.

Gender anxiety is awful isn't it TP? I just want to be normal and enjoy life and my family without this cloud over me. I'm trying really hard but there are good and bad days.
My new obsession is searching fertility friend to look at bd patterns for girl conceptions! It calms be down a lot because there is no pattern to timing at all when you look at those charts! Nearly every girl conception had bd on o day or near it!

There really IS no pattern. I know many people have gone over them with a fine tooth comb but even bending over backwards and contorting all the data as best they can, they can't get more than a couple percentage points of difference and since we have studies that have definitively proven that a)when ovulation is determined using ultrasound and bloodwork, timing doesn't sway and b)when ovulation is determined using ultrasounds or bloodwork, they only correlate to the chart's O day 1 out or 3 days then I just think that this is an idea that needs to be put to bed finally! :)
