Hiya,

I want to try and understand the nub theory so in future I can try and give a more accurate guess however I think I was looking at the wrong thing from the start!!

Ive attached my scan with a little arrow at what I now think is the nub, am I right in thinking that or is the nub the white line above it that resembles nothing lol

Thanks everyone xxx

It’s the white line above your arrow

It's that stick above the arrow. But you have to be careful because there are some shots where the leg bone or cord can mimic the nub and so you can't always just go off anything in that general vicinity. Plus, you have to consider the gestation as baby nubs look like girls well into the 12th week and in some cases even longer than that.

What I would do is look at a lot of nubs where the gender is known and after looking at a few of them you'll start to get a good feel for the differences.

Thanks for the replies ladies
On 4 different sites, I've been told both boy and girl! Girl has had more guesses but i think its fair to wait until the 20 week scan!
Its obviously not that clear :)

I didn't guess on this at the time but I feel we are looking at a penis here (the stick above your arrow).

I'm sorry you didn't hear what you were hoping for, I'm hoping I am wrong and that the tech is wrong.
