Hi Atomic and all you lovely swaying experts!
I have some questions regarding (blue) swaying and also thought this could be a thread for all recent blue swayers to post their questions without chatting (since I understood that atomic is not reading such threads).
Knowing that almost every possible swaying question has been answered somewhere here in this forum, I couldn't find info about these things. If there is, please post me a link and :whip: me lol
OK lets go (hope this is not going to be an essay)
Nr.1: schuesslers salts/homeopathy
Is anybody here who has experience with schuesslers salts? (Schuessler Cell Salts: Principle - how cell salts work (http://schuessler-cell-salts.com/principle/index.htm)) Wouldn't they be a great help in getting minerals? I mean getting minerals into cells better than high dose supplements would? Maybe even faster? There is a range of Potassium salts available. - IF minerals sway at all of course :)
I understand that this is truly something one has to believe in...like homeopathy...has that never been tried out in swaying? It's kind of something between sciences. I don't know much about that, but maybe someone here knows about this salts. Isn't it worth doing research on this topic? Sounds to good to be a magic bullet haha (Lol, I feel like a scientist who has just discovered something lol)
Nr2: lavender
The lavender... I found that: https://www.endocrine.org/news-room/2018/chemicals-in-lavender-and-tea-tree-oil-appear-to-be-hormone-disruptors
Does that mean it is a real thing? Does it for real sway pink because is inhibits androgens? I had lavender oil put on bed sheets and into the washing machine and into the closet for quite a time. Could that have contributed to having my daughters?
Nr3: brewers yeast/ nutritional yeast
lately I read this:
-did a lot of research and observed that nutritional yeast seemed to play a role in failed boy sways. Also observed that ladies who had many girls and then a boy without swaying happened to up their iron supplementation before conceiving their boy. I believe that iron, royal jelly, bee pollen (caution with allergies), Tribulus Terristris, Gelatin and V8 and use of egg whites with right ph are an absolute must for the very best boy sway attempt. I don’t think, for me anyways, that whole fat milk sways girl if had in moderation but absolutely stay away from yoghurt, low-fat or not). In my experience, yoghurt, almonds and grapes are number 1 girl foods.
Do you support this statement? It is confusing me but she had a successful sway. Is brewers/nutritional yeast now good for a blue sway? I ordered it, but it hasn't arrived yet. And all the other supps? I've ,of course, done my homework and read the essay about supplements (https://www.genderdreaming.com/forum/ttc-a-boy-best-practices/3486-guide-supplements-blue.html ) but still, she talks about "AN ABSOLUTE MUST".? Just looking for some words that put my mind at ease :)
Nr.4: ancestry
This one may be stupid. Also it is not meant to be rude or racist in any way and I hope noone feels offended!! If this question is too delicate to be discussed in public, I can understand...
Is there evidence that people of certain heritage (afro american, hispanic, caucasian, asian etc.) tend to have more girls/boys? I think I remember reading somewhere that for example women of afro american family origin (I am) have more girls.
(EDIT: I found something.https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=6&ved=0ahUKEwjRmvyA79vbAhXHA5oKHQVhDSwQFgg8MAU&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ajol.info%2Findex.php%2Fajrh %2Farticle%2Fdownload%2F55641%2F44113&usg=AOvVaw0To5-FA-d9-HDr3HPuGi04 and
https://www.babygaga.com/15-crazy-ways-you-didnt-know-race-affects-pregnancy/ )
Atomic, could you observe a trend here? Or a trend in swaying success? I don't even know if you have this info about users/members here... Does that mean, one would have to sway harder because of that genes? I know it is probably just nonsense (I know - there are girls and boys all over the world lol) but I'm just too curious.
Nr.5,6,7: just some normal questions to loosen things up ;)
- Is gelatine really that good for my blue sway? (I find the taste gross and can take a shot only once a day)
- Do I really wear socks during my sway? I read it somewhere...
- Is juice from concentrate OK or is that a no-no? Should I stick to freshly squeezed fruits? It's a matter of $$$
Ok, thank you so much for reading and maybe looking into these topics. Looking forward to many answers. Thanks for your time!

I would actually prefer everyone just post their own threads - if everyone posts in one thread, then it IS a chat thread!! It gets really hard for me to keep everyone straight and also for those who are reading it, to know who I am talking to and whose questions I"m answering!

1)I am not super into homeopathy to be honest and don't recommend them. I am completely unconvinced about the mineral balancing diets at this stage of the game and thus finding better ways to get potassium and sodium into cells (which I am very skeptical about the possibiity of that, anyway) would really not make any difference to my way of thinking.
More about that here: (this is actually an LE Diet thread but has info about the minerals in it) https://genderdreaming.com/forum/ttc-a-girl-best-practices/62533-le-diet-faq-2-mineral-madness-edition.html and here: https://www.genderdreaming.com/forum/gender-swaying-general-discussion/63173-ion-insanity.html
2)Maybe. I don't want ANYONE using straight up lavender oil any more (I have read the same studies) or any essential oils because they may be harmful to you or your husband/children https://www.genderdreaming.com/forum/gender-swaying-general-discussion/63620-essential-oils-hormone-disruptors.html
3)No, I don't agree with ANYTHING in that statement. Who is this person? When was it posted? There are tons of people who show up here, pretend to be experts for a day or two, and then leave never to return. I do not recommend RJBP, tribulus, or egg whites and nor have I ever recommended any of them (I tolerated them for perhaps the first year of the site but quickly moved away when I saw too many harmful results, so that is 7 years I have not recommended or even tolerated them) Many people have taken brewer's yeast for boys and also gelatin. I still use them. We did find that there were lots of opposites among people using the most milk replacers and wheatgrass supplements (I still ok wheatgrass juice 2-3 times a week but not the supplements) but the brewer's yeast and gelatin have not seemed to make opposites. I don't find it necessary if you'd prefer to leave it out.
4)Yes studies have indicated that if you are of sub-Saharan African descent you may have slightly more girls than the general population. But it is a minor variation (If I recall it's like only 1 or 2% difference) and no one is sure if it's overall diet/lifestyle or if there is any genetic element. I am doubtful it's genetic and i"ll post some links explaining why. I do want you to be extra cautious with sodium because you will have a gene that makes you retain higher levels of sodium in your body and you can read about that here:https://www.genderdreaming.com/forum/gender-swaying-general-discussion/4909-warning-if-you-african-african-descent-do-not-do-fgd-boy.html
Why gender is likely not genetic is here: https://genderdreaming.com/forum/gender-swaying-general-discussion/47852-we-only-dont-make-boys.html and here: https://genderdreaming.com/forum/swaying-studies-and-scientific-research/824-you-cant-carry-baby-gender.html?824-You-quot-can-t-quot-carry-a-baby-of-that-gender=
5) No gelatin is not at all necessary and is fine to leave out. I never have drunk gelatin water in my life and I have 4 boys. I consider that and brewer's yeast both to be completely not necessary at all (and they are $$$ so feel free to skip them)
6) LOL no socks are required to make boys. That is not really a thing. Supposedly it helps with circulation or something, but I have 4 boys and my husband and I never wear socks in the act of BD! We don't ever wear socks in bed at all (in fact, I don't usually wear socks in the house and go barefoot instead as does he! How else could I know when it's time to sweep the floor, if not for my bare feet! :))
7)Juice from concentrate is absolutely fine! Totally!!

Ok, I found myself facing two more problems:
first - next month will be my TTC month and according to what I learnt, I'll probably ovulate somewhat around 13th.. So, on 11th, 2 days before suspected O day I will be in a situation where I won't be able to eat/drink for a least 5-6h. What are food suggestions before such a long period with no food? what will keep my blood sugar up the longest amount of time? granola bar? Will this one time low blood sugar affect my sway because it is (supposably) right before ovulation?
second - of course, that week of our attempt kids will be at home every day all day, so no AM attempts will be possible :( Sorry TMI but is there a technique you recommend like "collecting" sperm and later self-inseminating it somehow? That way no one would notice LOL I know that you don't recommend ICs because one would loose to much sperm and sway pink. But what about a syringe or pipette? Please don't think I'm crazy, just thinking of all the possibilities. I'd do everything to make it work this time haha. Or would you say better skip the AM attempt and go with night only.

ok! sorry, didn't know that. :suprise: So this will be my questions thread then. Can/should I rename this thread?
:agree: perfect! no need to rename it, I think it just refers to your own personal boy sway this year! :)
Re garlic, yes, that is a good addition, I'd stick with 1 clove a day as more than that may cause bleeding (unless you're already used to that level!) the garlic + fish oil can really thin out your blood so you may want to even have less garlic than that, like 2-3 days a week perhaps.

June 20th, 2018, 02:32 PM
1)Oh don't worry about that, all us boy moms had the occasional day where we went 5 hours without eating anything. I'd eat a good meal with protein, fat, and carbs and then eat again when you're done. If you can sneak a granola bar in the middle that's great but I would not stress about that at all.
If anything we did right before ovulation could sway, we'd only do diet 1 day before ovulation!
2)If you had "real" BD for the two night attempts you can get away with using a syringe for the morning attempt, or you could just skip it. As a general rule I don't like the TBM method for boys as you end up losing some sperm along the way no matter how hard you try, but in this situation when you've already had 2 good solid attempts (or will) it seems to me that you'd only be adding more sperm, even if it was slightly fewer than you'd get from actual intercourse, it could still be ok. Now, if it's going to add a big bunch of stress and annoy DH I"d probably just avoid it, and if you think it might lower his ability to BD that night, I'd also avoid it, but if you can get away with it otherwise that is fine with me.

It's 3 weeks till our REAL attempt and I'm starting to get nervous :worry: I want to do my very best sway and new questions pop up every day. So....
is there a difference between pink and yellow grapefruit juice? I often read about pink grapefruit juice but can only find yellow.
should I take more vitD if my skin tone is darker? I already use no sun screen and try to walk in the sun, but thats not too often. I'm not sure if it makes any difference.
here is my actual sway. happy to get clued into mistakes or things that need to be improved last minute!
diet/drinks:
morning: muesli with milk, fruit juice, green tea with lemon
snack: egg and vegetables (e.g. tomato, carrots, cucumbers, lettuce), fruit (e.g. banana, mango, peaches,..)
lunch: leftovers from dinner (e.g. pasta with meat sauce), gelatine drink, dried fruits (dates, apricots, figs)
snack: handful of trail mix, vegetable juice, fruit, some chestnuts
dinner: anything with meat like pizza, lasagna or fried rice with meat and veggies,..
late night snack: potato/banana chips, popcorn, nuts, yogurt,..
daily supplements:
Folic acid: 1900µg (in 3 portions)
Multivitamin: one-a-day (Biotech USA)
Fish oil: 500mg
CoQ10: 200mg
VitD: 1000 IU
Probiotics
Brewes Yeast - still waiting for it to arrive
exercise: 1h class of pilates + 2-3 times youtube workout videos (30mins) per week. Get a lot of every day exercise thanks to my active kids as well :)
AF-O:
add Guaifenesin 5days before O
use OPK (hopefully BD 3 times after +OPK, maybe use preseed)
try to take temp and check CP/CM
and last but not least I'm trying to sleep more (nap with DD3 and don't stay on this site whole night lol)

Thanks for the reply!
I'm going to add the garlic then. I'm relieved that it's not harming my sway having this fasting half day before O day.
I'm def going to do the TBM for AM attempt since I got your approval lol, sounds like a challenge and I like that haha

As long as it's JUST the AM attempt! I am really not a huge fan of TBM at all (and especially for blue!) I am only going along with this because you are able to have the other attempts "the old fashioned way". :bluecheer:

1)Some people like to make swaying overly complicated! EITHER grapefruit juice is fine
2)I like everyone to take 1000 IU Vit. D regardless of skin tone/sun exposure. Vit. D sways blue and most of us are deficient anyway.
3)Which Biotech specifically are you taking so I can check the nutrient breakdown?
4)Diet looks good although I do not think your bedtime snack is healthy enough. I know potato chips have a mystical rep on some sites since they have sodium but our evidence indicates that sodium is not really swaying. So potato chips have very little else going on (same with popcorn and even banana chips really are not very nutritious) so you're burning calories on things that have very little in the way of nutrition to offer. I would go with something more healthy (nuts, yogurt, a bowl of cereal, that kind of thing) and skip the empty calories.
eVerything else is looking great!! Good luck and blue dust!

Atomic, could you ,or anyone, tell me when I probably ovulated this cycle?
39753
39754
App says CD12, but how can this be when I had +OPK just on CD12 am/noon. Doesn't it take at least 12h till O can occur after LH surge? Maybe temps can't be used bc my sleep is disturbed frequently? Also I had mild pains on CD11 and CD12. no EWCM at all.
Is O right on +OPK day possible?

:agree: oh that one is ok. That is the absolute MAX I want you taking on B vitamins though and let's go ahead and skip the brewers yeast since it's loaded with more B's. Too many B vitamins can make your ovulation delayed. Don't worry you're not wasting it, u can use it during pregnancy and it gives you lots of energy too!

June 23rd, 2018, 10:14 AM
Yes, it's possible to O anywhere from 8-48 hours (or longer but that is the norm) after first pos OPK. It's also possible that the OPK on CD 11 was a false negative, that you were actually surging that day but it didnt' get into your urine in enough concentration to register on the test.
My guess is sometime during the night of CD 12 BUT it is also possible that it was CD 13 instead and that the highish temp on CD 13 was a fluke high, should actually still have been low, and then you'd have had a more definitive temp rise CD 14 in that case.

I just got results from my hormone and physical checkup and of course I have more questions now after talking to a doc lol.
1) my testosterone is very low, so I was wondering if anyone swing did test for it before and after swaying? How much of a raise should there be the swaying blue? I don't know my numbers 5 weeks ago when I started the HE diet and exercising but now it's only 0,17 (0,15 - 0,55 µg/l) so I was like WHAAT? Does that mean I should exercise more (I work out 2-3 x a week for 30-60 mins)? Pleas tell me testosterone doesn't sway!? lol
2) The doc saw a myoma of 0,8 inches in the ultrasound. I was kind of creeped out.. Now I'm getting old!! Do you suggest something on that issue? He said, fertility is not influenced by it but google (I know, I know) tells you bad stuff about lower implantation rates. Do you have knowledge on that and/or other ladies dealing with myoma and having good sways?
3) He suggested to take some folate-inositol combination because it would improve fertility (referring to my AMH of 0.35 and FSH of 12) I remember reading somewhere (Myo-)inositol swayed pink. I didn't tell him, but I think I'm doing enough for my fertility. What do you think?
4) DH is out of town (doing the EOD release) until 4-O. So when he comes back we start right with BD every day? Or would it be better to BD 4-O, 2-O, 1-O, O, so there is one day (3-O) of regeneration? Is it bad we had no unprotected sex before the actual attempts in order to have my body in "contact with his semen"? What is even the thing about that? Is it the progesterone in the seminal fluid? could I use progesterone pessaries for that purpose instead? Is it the ph? I could do BSF... or is it something we still not know? or even not that important?
thanks again for taking your time :)
aira22
July 4th, 2018, 09:14 PM
Oh forgot the possibility of saving the 4-O attempt for 3-O. So We would do it 3-,2-,1-O then. These would be all in the fertile window, right?
atomic sagebrush
July 5th, 2018, 03:10 PM
1) We don't know what your number "should" be for TTC a boy. The theory is that it is changes in testosterone that sway and not a set number, so in that case it's actually good - low testosterone is easier to change than already high testosterone! The HE Diet and exercise and supplements will help your body boost testosterone anyway. To be honest I am very much unconvinced that testosterone even sways so I would just try not to worry about it anyway.
2)1/3 of women between 25-44 have fibroids/moyma and if you're of African descent (which I think I recall reading you are?) the rates are even higher still. Your doctor can see where it is and how large it is, and if they determined it won't cause any issues with conceiving, that's great. Most of them don't cause any problem at all. It's actually very good that the doctor doesn't see any issues with it, because we have had problems with doctors overtreating myomas that don't actually need treatment. Yes we've had several people who had them and TTC with no trouble, both pink and blue swayers.
3)I also think you're doing enough for your fertility and inositol not only sways pink but would DRASTICALLY lower your testosterone (that's part of what it does!) and is actually not a great idea for you to take.
4)I prefer you to do just like you say, O-4, O-2, O-1, O. No not bad that you did not have contact beforehand - in fact most people don't, because they're trying for Shettles timing. We don't know what it is exactly about the contact with semen, but it's been shown to boost odds of conception and fertility overall, which sways blue.
You can't use progesterone pessaries because a)we don't know that it's progesterone at all, may very well be some other component of semen and b)progesterone prior to ovulation will delay or stop ovulation and some even think they sway pink (I don't happen to agree but most would want to avoid them anyway!!)
I am not a fan of the BSF because it likely does absolutely nothing other than killing sperm, which cuts odds of conception and would sway pink anyway. It's likely this has nothing to do with pH anyway.

I'm back with a few questions:
The two week wait... must I do the exact same HE diet and supps like AF-O? Honestly I'm looking for things to skip now like maybe meat not twice but only once a day? Less eggs? Less dried fruits and nuts? And the juices? (I'd love to drink only water) And the (bitter) green tea.. I already stopped it, was that ok? So what can I change in the tww without harming my sway. I don't wan't to do crazy stuff like skipping breakfast or drinking sugar free sodas lol. Just looking for a "safe" way to ingest less.
And BFP: Assuming I get a BFP this time. CoQ10 should be weaned off, right? Steady sugar level is still important, but how long (weeks) should I keep snacks? And how many calories do you recommend? I don't want to loose weight, it just hard for me to keep up with all the food and drinks. I know, I'm a lazy girls mum :giggle:

let me explain what I DON"T want to see people do and then I think that will give you your answer.
I DON"T want anyone on HE diet to severely cut back on food intake. Your body may decide "we can't support this pregnancy" and especially during the 2WW, when it's rather easy for your body to simply not allow implantation to occur, this is a very real risk. So while it's ok to cut back a SMALL amount, I suppose (but I'd really rather you didn't) it is not a complete disaster if it happens.
But do try to keep in mind that not only are you trying to convince your body that you have enough nutrients coming in to get and stay pregnant with a baby boy who needs more nutrients, additionally we know that 2 weeks on diet is not good enough for swaying and many of our opposites have been in people who only diet for 2-4 weeks. So given that, I would just not go overboard with this concept.
Meat once a day is fine
I'd still try to be getting at least 4 eggs a week
Fine to cut back on dry fruits (these can cause rapid weight gain anyway)
I'd keep going with the nuts
Less juice, but if you're getting more than a few hundred cals from juice I'd do this cautiously in case your body notices your calorie intake dropping dramatically
Fine to ditch the green tea in the 2ww.
:agree: wean off Coq at BFP
You can cut back SOME on portion size and snacking but remember, we don't want your body to perceive a shocking difference in nutrient intake
I can't give a set calorie intake, let your weight gain (if any) be your guide. Just aim at holding steady on weight and do not try to lose any.

Hi, it’s Princedreams. I wasn’t claiming to be an expert. Just posted my sway and my opinion as to what worked for me. BTW, I only spoke of nutritional yeast not brewer’s yeast. Surprised how fast posters are forgotten. I have found both sites to be quite cliquey. Removing my sway and account.

I'm terribly sorry that you've had a negative experience with our site. I talk to dozens of people a day, thousands in a year, and pretty much all of them have variations on a very small number of names and so it's very hard for me to keep everyone straight. It's not unusual for me to talk to Princedreams, princedream, Princessdream, and dreamprince in the span of an hour.
I shared the context of my reply below. I think that my remark in isolation without the original comment makes it look angry or hostile when I assure you that wasn't my intention whatsoever and again, I do apologize.
There is really no functional difference in brewer's yeast and nutritional yeast and we use them interchangeably.
I am unaware of any sides or cliques here, and legitimately have no idea what you're referring to. I'm assuming InGender? The only problem I have with InGender is that they continue to advocate harmful things and things that actively prevent people from conceiving. I'm sorry if stuff that I said came off cliquey to you but I wasn't even thinking of InGender at all when I posted that reply. Not at all my intent and any frustration I ever have towards IG is down to my perception that they are cavalierly harming people and jeopardizing their sways (and for that I will never apologize)
Ladies, please understand that I will sometimes sit here for 6-8 hours straight answering posts and messages and writing essays inbetween taking care of my kids. I work every day of the week except Sunday (which that's only been for the past few months I started taking that off, and since this IS Sunday, you see how well that is going) and most holidays too. I type fast, many times answering questions I've answered a hundred times already (which I am happy to do, but it does make me lose perspective on my replies at times) and am nearly always legitimately unaware of any kind of shortness in tone until someone points it out to me.
I'm trying to help as many people as I can as quickly as I can and I really do answer all the questions asked, usually within a day or two. By the time you get to almost 94,000 posts it is really hard to be fully aware of how the things you write might come off to people (just as it's really hard to always keep everyone straight). Again, I do apologize for any misunderstanding, I wish you well.

I'm just posting here to give some context to my above remarks.
I was not angry or intending to rebuke anyone in any way, I was trying to help someone who was scared and confused by remarks that were posted (to me) totally out of context. Aira 22 copied and pasted that from some other thread on the site (which number into the hundreds of thousands now.) I have had several posters named some variation of Princedreams - probably even into the and I had no way of knowing if that was posted in 2010 or last week, or even if it came from this website as many sites use this same forum format.
Even more so, I have no way of knowing that came from someone's sway! The sway itself was posted 4 months before this question was asked, I had no idea where that came from at the time, and this entire thread is from over a year ago. Again, I apologize for any misunderstanding but at some point there is simply a limit to the amount of information the human brain can hold and I cannot remember the source of a quotation from something posted 4 months prior let alone over a year ago.
