Help...IVF or another sway for 4th child??

Sorry - unsure if I’ve posted correctly so trying once more in this forum (can’t find my other post [emoji21])

I’m Looking for some help. We had 3 girls naturally (& were very lucky to conceive quickly) we want to try for our 4th child and would like a boy.

We decided to go down the IVF route & I chose a clinic and am due to go in August 2018, however I had really poor test results..

AMH 2.4 pmol/l which i believe is very low for my age (35)
AFC 6 follicles on day 2 of cycle.

Naive of me, but very shocked at my results. My clinic still seem fairly optimistic but obviously with less eggs my chances of a boy are much lower (as I am obviously immediately dismissing all healthy girl embryos)

My partner now feels considering the cost of IVF and my results we should maybe sway again. My 2nd we did shettles timing (before I realised this was tosh and so obvs got another girl! [emoji23]) and my 3rd was a failed boy sway (but done without a personalised plan)

I really don’t want a 4th girl if I’m honest.

Unsure what to do and would appreciate thoughts about ivf success with my results and likelihood of a 4th girl on another sway?? This would defo be our last child.

Am I just “set” to naturally concieve girls?!

If you already went so far as to choose a clinic, stay with IVF. It is all about a guarantee.

Your odds of success with IVF will not improve with time, so if HT is ever an option I suggest going as fast as you can to get it done. Swaying will always be here (and if you choose to go that route I'll help however I can!)

Thanks so much to both of you for replying. Has definitely helped confirmed my decision. Fingers crossed it works! Anything u can think of that I should be doing to get ready for the IVF? Is acupuncture supposed to help? X

I was exactly in your shoes for my 4th. My 3rd was a failed sway but I still felt like I could have done more in my sway so was tempted to sway again. We decided to sway and I did a very strong one. Ended up with a miscarriage at 11 weeks and I was convinced it was my DG become I never miscarried in the past.
Genetic testing confirmed that it would have been my 4th DS. I was devastated but it made me realized that sway would never work for me. IVF finally gave me my DD a year after. So if you can and are not okay with a 4th DD I would definitely go with HT. Good luck!

I would follow a lower carb, higher protein (but not super low carb!) diet like the Zone or South Beach Diet or my favorite, Perfect Health Diet, do moderate exercise, cut back on vices like alcohol and coffee, and make sure your BMI is in the healthy range. I know it's not as "magic bullet-y" as supplements, acupuncture, etc but those are the things that are really the most likely to help you succeed.
