View Full Version : If I cut out anything sweet, how will that sway?

I've been thinking about cutting out anything sweet other than fruit, hoping that that will help me lose 5 lbs. I was wondering if that would sway boy or girl.
On one hand, it may sway boy because I'd probably be replacing empty calories with more nutricious calories.
On the other hand, it may sway girl if I end up losing weight from it.
What do you think Atomic? Is it worth a try for losing weight (my weight hasn't budged since January), or is it too dangerous for swaying boy especially since I'm not taking Clomid?

as far as im aware the PCOS LE diet has better results than the standard LE diet and it is processed-sugar free, im on it this time and the only sweet things im eating is fruit which is a huge change for me!! wait for Atomic's advice :) but id imagine it can only sway pink? its not like your replacing the empty sweet foods with steaks or high fat/protein foods etc
just as a side note i know lots of people in real life (not swaying) who conceived their girls while on low-sugar diets which they did for weight loss :)

If you have PCOS cutting out sweet things will sway pink and in fact everyone with PCOS SHOULD cut out sugar and white flour totally if at all possible. That is a critically important part of the alternate PCOS-type LE Diet.

Hi ladies am on my first week of le diet. My TTC girl and first attempt will October. Regarding fruits and vegetables , is it good to eat them always, will that be snacking?

Please eat with meals only. If you can't manage with 3 meals, go to 4 or even 5 rather than snacking all day long!

Hold on. It has higher results for the people who NEED to be on it. We do not yet know if it has higher results for everyone. Additionally, many people should NOT be on that type of diet because weight will fly off if they do. Many people actually need to have a fair amount of sugar/white carbs on LE Diet to keep weight on.
If you are interested in trying the alternate type diet but have very little weight to spare, you need to take care to be eating max cals from the start 1800-2000 or even beyond that and be willing to bend the rules as you go to possibly add in small amounts of sweets/refined carbs if your weight loss gets out of hand.

If you are already underweight you should not be following the alternate diet as it is written because weight will come flying off very rapidly. You may need some sugar and white carbs to keep weight on.

Think about that.
You didn't do this when you got your daughter. You very likely do not need to limit sugar now.
We are finding time after time that the people who are the strictest with themselves and make their diets more complicated than they need to be are the ones who get the most opposites. don't mess with success, do mostly what worked for you the last time and try to not make things harder than they need to be.
