So I started the diet at 23.3 BMI and now after a month I lost 8 lbs, now 23.2. I would like to TTC August because who knows how long it will take. I thought I would have been 12 weeks in the diet, but it is less. The first week and half I was doing IG with supplements and full fat dairy. Lots.

Weird thing is, I am the mom of 5 boys. We lived in a far off country without money. I was skipping meals, mostly breakfast and didn't have much to snack on. My BMI was 18.4 - 19.5 concieving my boys. I was the thinnest ever. Now I packed on many pounds. I'm more than I ever was, happily, and my BMI is significantly higher than by concieving my boys. The only thing that maybe was possible, was there was a chance I was taking occasional prenatal vitamins... and i was also walking daily because gas cost money. Lol.

I will not lose that much weight this time and so is my sway not strong enough being this high in BMI? The major difference now is these things.

Now I'm higher BMI but actively losing weight on LE diet.
I'm on low dose anti depressants
I'm drinking coffee for the first time
I'm drinking alcohol fairly often, first x
I'm strictly walking 60 minutes briskly on the treadmill for 6 days a week
Fiber at all meals with fat

So this would be for about 11 weeks before the 1st attempt.

DH is doing nothing. That is all I am doing. Does that look alright for a sway considering my conception of 5 boys under slightly similar circumstances of the low BMI goal?

Because I'm just getting older and aiming for such a low BMI will take too long. By then DH will say we are done. Hes already trying to change his mind about going for another [emoji853]

Hi! I think it looks good 11 weeks is great! You should lose a few more pounds before August anyway which will help. I think sticking to diet is most important. Do you take fiber?

Hey, I only lost 3 lbs before I got my girl and was still above BMI 21.

Some of us are able to conceive boys even at low weight. So instead of focusing on getting back to that weight just do the LE Diet for 10-12 weeks (which you will have done - 11 weeks is also very good for getting girls) You have changed a lot of things and I think you have just as good a chance as anyone of getting a girl!

Yay! Yes, fiber at every meal. I've been great on the diet and not stressing. I've been doing exercise easily. I'm actually quite obsessive by nature, hence the 5 boys possibly, but I'm assuming my anxiety meds are working cuz I'm doing great without all the OCD triggering things that I was doing before like CM checks and ovulation scope.

It had just occurred to me that I was extremely low BMI by my conception of the others so I worried that maybe my goal of TTC soon, was not really swaying. Thanks [emoji4]

Nope, I had to come up with a goal to aim at because people wanted one, but I don't ahve any evidence that anyone needs to be at their lowest weight. It's fine to just have recently lost from where you were. I don't think our bodies really "remember" our old weights anyway and certainly not in light of TTC! After all if you're in a famine your body should take note of that and not "remember" back when we were 18 and skinny anyway, because it's what happens in the present that indicates our body's ability to get and stay pregnant with a baby boy (who needs more nutrients) and not some thing that happened a decade or more ago! :)
