I'm hoping some ladies can chime in with their coffee schedules. Lol. I feel like a child but I'm new to coffee. I've begun drinking coffee daily since I started my sway and I've never been a coffee drinker. One friend with 4 girls never touches coffee, but most others with only girls, that I know, are hardworking and always running to their jobs and drinking lots of coffee. Being that i never drank coffee before with my 5 boys, that is a huge part of my sway.

I drink one cup by my first meal at noon. Then the next at my 4:00 meal. But it's begun to be a problem. Im getting pretty jittery at night and it's taking me a long time to fall asleep, which usually isn't a problem. And once im awake I overthink everything and get anxiety.... bad stuff.

I tried one coffee, but I want to do more. How did you fit it into your daily meals? Did you drink before your first meal? Do you drink just black coffee if you did that? How can I arrange my coffee so that by 2/3 I don't have any more?

What schedule worked for you? Dinner I have wine.... so just earlier in the day.

Mostly I had it just black (not very strong), but in the afternoon and evening with almond milk:)

You can switch to decaf if it's making you jittery. While swaying I had 2-3 cups of coffee a day. Any more than that I and I felt sick. I always had it black, one in the morning, again in the afternoon and sometimes one in the evening as "dessert." It doesn't really matter when you have it, it's just if you're having coffee with lots of sugar or milk then it's best treated as a meal. Don't worry about having coffee on a schedule as that just feeds the control freak in a lot of us boy moms. Just do what works for you personally.

So I am assuming decaf before bed? This morning I had a black coffee and yuck. Lol. I never put sugar. I just like with a little bit of milk. Now that I know I can add black between meals I'll try that. I'll pick up decaf as well so the 3 or 4 :00 one doesnt jitter me up and make me anxious

Could you have stronger coffees earlier in the day? I could only fit two cups during the day - if I had coffee after 3pm I’d never fall asleep. I usually bought coffees from cafes. So I had 1.5 shots at about 10am (after 13 hr fast) and another 1.5 shots at around 1 or 2pm

You can do cream or milk in morning tiny amount with equal or any zero calorie sugar

If you haven't drunk coffee before swaying you don't need to have more than 1 cup.

I would not have you drink coffee that late anyway. I'm well used to coffee and I don't have it after 3 pm. I would have 1 in the morning (and yes, most of us have it first thing as a kind of breakfast replacer, and that is ok and allowed as long as you' don't put sugar in it) Then if you can handle it, have one at lunch. No more after that.

Milk is fine in coffee at any time.

Decaf actually has a small amount of caffeine and it is enough to disrupt sleep right before bed for some people. It would be likely ok for 3-4 pm but i'd not have it right before bed.

For a non coffee drinker, it's a lot. I'm not drinking it any more after my first meal. It's really making me anxious and jittery at night.

Yes at any time if it's making you feel unhappy/unpleasant/sick/anxious etc then that's too much. We don't need to be miserable and feeling like poo to make this happen! :)
