Hi! Totally new and just signed up for a plan. I have something tentatively in my mind and would love opinions. I am currently breastfeeding my 10 month old son. I will be drinking 6 to 8 servings of crystal light a day. Egg whites and veggies for breakfast when I need it. 1 cup of coffee. Lunch is pasta veggies and hummus. Same for dinner. Artichoke for a snack and maybe dark chocolate. Im veg and have been vegan. This puts me about 1750 calories with 46g protein and 35g fat. I was also going to do fiber with each meal, cranberry supplements, and a low dose vitex. I won't hear back on my plan for a while. Im so new here but we would like to concieve sooner than later.

Hi and welcome! I have your questionnaire and will get to work on your plan as soon as I'm able to!

I'd like to see you eating a bit more fat and protein and cals than that since you're breastfeeding. I like my nursing moms to be on 1800 cals, 50-60 g protein and fat to help keep your milk supply up (and we get good results for pink still with that)

The protein and fat in fruits and higher carb veg like potatoes is free and unlimted, you don't count those except the calories in them. Low carb veg like artichokes are free for everything - count nothing in them at all. So you may need to eat more than you think to get up to the higher amounts since the cals, pro, and fat in the fruits and veg won't count.

NO cranberry supplements while nursing. Not safe (even if other sites say that it is, they are wrong.)

I would keep to sane use of Crystal Light which is 2-3 servings a day and not 6-8. I've seen enough people getting boys drinking totally insane amounts of the stuff to know for sure it's not a guarantee and I don't see the point in taking any level of risk with your nursing baby drinking more than the FDA has approved safe.

Fiber only with meals containg fat or fat soluble nutrients (mostly this is skim dairy or dark leafy greens with fat free salad dressing, the only things that have nutrients without the fat!) I would be giving nursing baby a separate vitamin drop containing Vit. D and DHA just to be sure he's getting enough.

I'll take your desire to quicker conception into account making the plan! Thanks!

Thank you so much for the reply! I had no idea about cranberry! I'll also scale back on the crystal light. Health is most important, so I really appreciate the insight.
