View Full Version : BFP, now what?

I got my BFP - I’m astonished!
But now I realized that I don’t know what to do at this point haha. Do I stay on the diet and keep exercising? Keep taking folate and fiber?
Prior to each successful pregnancy I’ve had a miscarriage, so although I know that logically that doesn’t mean this BFP is doomed, I am definitely nervous that I may follow my own trend. Does fear of miscarriage change what I should be doing at all in terms of changing diet/exercise/folate/etc?
Thanks!

Come off the diet and exercise now. Start prenatal.
Continue folate till the end of the first trimester and then gradually wean off by spacing doses further and further out till down to one per week, then you can drop them.
Drop fiber.
Are you doing or taking anything else? How about DH??

Thanks for the info.
Can I still exercise but just not as often or strenuous?
The folate I’m taking is 1000mg. If I add a prenatal I’ll be at like 1400mg a day... should I just take the folate every other day or something? Or is 1400mg/day what people usually do?
DH was taking OLE but no longer is. I’m taking an allergy pill but that’s because I have allergies not because of sway.

Yep I"m fine with continuing exercise, it's good for you! :)
I actually prefer you guys in the 1200-1600 range so the 1400 is fine.
Did he wean off the OLE? If he just dropped it recently, have him wean off instead. If it's been like 2 weeks or more and he hasn't taken it, I'd have him just stay off at that point.
