Wellll it took a while but he arrived today (friday) in the birthing pool 3 weeks early weighing 7lbs 12! Feels so strange but he is just adorable. I'm still in the hospital so will try to post a pic when I have decent Wi-Fi!!

Felicity got her lip and tongue ties clipped yesterday afternoon. Now she seems really confused at how to latch onto both me and bottles. I don’t recall my other kids having these issues once clipped, but they were also older at the time, like 3-4 months old instead of 2 weeks old. I’m hoping she gets it figured out soon. Her doctors are all up my butt about her “poor” weight gain, which is actually decent weight gain considering her feeding issues and her eating 4-6 oz less than they want her to. She was 5 lb 3 oz at birth, dropped to 4 lb 12 oz, and was back up to 5 lb 3 oz on Friday at 13 days after birth. Monday she was 5 lb 6.5 oz at her ENT appointment. I have to take her in for another weight check today and I am so over it. She is gaining just fine on my breast milk alone, but they want me to add formula to it to increase the calories to make her gain more. All this does is make it so I can’t breastfeed and am tied to a pump all day long, my supply goes to crap, and I end up completely discouraged, quit, and put my kids on formula full time. For being a certified baby friendly hospital that supports breastfeeding, they sure go out of their way to sabotage everyone’s attempts at it.

Ignore them, my breastfed babies were always small and my doctor told me as long as they are back at their birth weight by 2 weeks old then it’s fine. Don’t let them bully you. She will gain. Her weight gain seems good to me.

Good! How are you? I noticed there's a few ladies who would have given birth but haven't been on.

Baby boy is suffering badly with wind/gas. Even with the biggest burp I'll lay him down and he'll be squirming about again. He's also starred crying a lot when he's tired which is most of the day lol I can't put him down.

No they didn't which is another thing I hate- being told to give them a bottle so they will sleep :(

I feel the same way, I bottle fed my first two, and prefer nursing. Don’t let anyone bully you into a bottle. Emmalyn won’t hardly take a bottle, but once in a blue moon for my mom.

I haven't even tried. My dd5 never took a bottle she just refused. I can't be bothered pumping tbh
This little man even refuses a dummy(pacifier) which is strange, I'm still trying to get dd5 to give hers up at night!

I didn’t even bother with Emmalyn with a pacifier, because my two little boys drive me bonkers constantly searching for theirs. Sometimes I’m tempted when she is grumpy. Today when we were out and nothing would console her today, getting her a pacifier.

I haven’t, but I do pray for every day for her to soon have a healthy baby girl.

Yes she sure does!

I agree the shots is one of the worse parts of having a baby. One thing I’m going to decline is the lead testing though. They tortured my nephew putting the iv through his tiny 9 month arm and I’m not letting them do it to Emmy. I feel it’s unnecessary so they never did it to my others.

They stick an iv in a vein in their arm and get a couple tubes of blood out to test and see if they are low on iron and if they’ve been exposed to lead. An unnecessary test, that I’m going to refuse when she’s 9 months.

I don’t know girl, but it was torture. So I plan to tell them no way. They never did that with my kids, and it’s the same dr my kids went too.

jut found this board, was still checking the old one :) today is a year since i left Australia and went to Cyprus putting all our savings on the line to have a go at gender selection ivf, i got lucky and she's the best sister that my boys could ask for even though all she does is sleep, eat smile and giggle he he 40638 congrats on the new babies that have been born and keep the pics of our babies coming I love seeing the updates :)

Mommy how did the eye surgery go?

Hey bbb! So sorry I haven’t been on. I had forgotten my password and hadn’t been able to log on. Braxton’s surgery went great! He was literally felling awesome that very same day. Surgery wa sober at 9am and by 1pm he was up and running and being his extremely hyper self. I had nothing to be worried about. Only thing he hates were the eye drops. We go tomorrow for his last post op appointment! Thank you so much for asking! I hope all is well with you!

She's so adorable!!! Can't believe how much time has passed so quickly.
I'm glad the surgery went well, it's scary when it's your babys!
I'm worried about dd5s eye. She has had a lump under it for about a year and it's getting bigger. We were referred to the hospital and are only getting to see someone on 22nd of this month. I think it may be a chalazion which could possibly need removed surgically.

Also my minister has told us that before he will baptise baby he wants both me and dh to start going to church with the kids. (I go but dh doesnt) I actually feel a bit let down, he was talking as if we both had never set foot in church in our lives. I always went to the 6pm service but he's insisting on us going to the 10am one which is boob and sleep time for baby boy every day. I do not want to get the boob out in church and he always screams when he's tired :/ I'm getting anxiety thinking about it

Bbb, our church has a room I can go in with Emmy when she demands to eat. Does your church have any rooms you can go into with privacy? I would ask the preacher about it. I can’t get Emmy dedicated either, because Brad is a different religion than me and he won’t go to my church.
