I'm now 4 weeks, 5 days according to my app lol and I'm still testing like a crazy person

How are you?

ohh we are close, I'm 4 weeks 3 days according to my app hehehe I still have a couple of tests left to go, but I did buy a 6 pack!

I'm feeling ok, had some moments of morning sickness and feel pretty exhausted lol also very achy in my back and lower abdomen. how are you going?

Yay an April group [emoji4]. I’m 5w5d and have my first scan next week. I don’t think it’ll really sink in until the scan. I’ve had a miscarriage prior to each successful pregnancy so I’m a bit nervous. Hoping to see a little fetal pole flicker though. [emoji4]🤞🏼

I had some pretty sharp pains/cramping last week but thankfully that has stopped.

My bloat is RIDICULOUS!!!!!!! but very welcomed

No nausea so far...I pray everyday I dont get it this rounds. With my last two pregnancies I had all day nausea from about 6 weeks to 12 weeks and actually lost quite a bit of weight. So far I'm very hungry.

And boy oh boy do I also feel extremely exhausted. I dont even feel pregnant so I end up just feeling like I'm lazy lol

Hi jgojah, yes they were 95 on 15dpo and 497 on 19dpo so doubling is 40 hours which I believe is ok🤞
How are you? Edited to say: just seen your other post, I am so bloated too!! Yuk. And so tired I could nap at any opportunity [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

Hi ladies! I'm cautiously joining. I got a surprise BFP on last Saturday!!! According to my app I'm 5 weeks and 3 days. I don't go in for my scan until I'm 8 weeks (it seems so far away). I have been to the doctor 3 times to get my numbers checked. My hcg double nicely but my progesterone dropped from 17 to 15 so he put me on 200 mg of progesterone which I started last night so I'm just praying that this surprise bean stays sticky. Good luck ladies!!

Still trying to decide if/when to get levels drawn. Last time I got them because I was having bleeding at 14 dpo. This time, things are so far going great, but I'm only 14 dpo today. My office likes doing the 48 hrs between. The lab isnt open on sundays. So I could ask for Saturday, monday labs.

My first scan is next Friday, I will be 6 weeks 2 days. How about yours? I’ve probably gained weight but I’ve not been on the diet for months now, I pretty much gave up my sway as had two losses and a chemical and just couldn’t keep up with the diet. I skipped breakfast and was vegetarian but everything else went lol.

Hi hgmama, how are you feeling? I’ve just started to feel a bit nauseous which is actually quite welcome!
I had my bloods done on 15dpo and 19dpo and I definitely feel better for having them done but I was super stressed about darkness of tests etc. Maybe leave it a while as everything is going well? Or would you feel better with the reassurance?

https://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/4216d8I think it would provide some reassurance. Especially since I can't get into doc until the 30th. Although, I will probably be puking my guts up by that point. I started my diclegis, but surprisingly nothing tastes good already. So not necessarily nauseous but not thrilled about food.
Glad your nausea is welcomed. [emoji6]

Sounds like you get bad sickness? I’ve never been sick in pregnancy, just ‘felt’ sick. I hope it doesn’t get so bad for you this time! Yeah I’m with you in the wanting reassurance, and waiting till the 30th feels like a long time for you! Have you decided when to go in? Keep us updated [emoji106]

I called shortly after posting. Decided that I would be reassured "a little" by getting levels drawn. The only problem is that everything was looking good in February and then I was the unlucky 2%. Anyways got blood drawn today (my friday afternoon) and then will go again monday morning.

Yes, I get pretty sick. With my son, I had home health care and a subcutaneous zofran pump. In March, I was being sent in for fluids when she couldnt find the heartbeat anymore.

Oh gosh, it must have been so hard to go through that back in February! Having everything seeming ok and then it still going wrong must have been so tough. I can understand how the bloods will only be a ‘little’ reassuring after that. Update and let us know your results when you get them. Hoping this time it works out for us both!

hey ladies, how is everyone going? anyone else officially joining our due date group that isnt already on the 1st post?

I have the worst vertigo today, anyone know if thats a pregnancy related thing or just random?

I used up another one of my pregnancy tests the other day just because I can :) and the line came up before the evap line had even finished crossing the test window, and it leached most of the dye out of the control line and was heaps stronger lol

Hi missiz, this board is too quiet at the moment isn’t it [emoji23] We need some more bfps to join us!
No idea about the vertigo thing, sorry. I bet it is related though.
I also did my last test today ( I’ve done hundreds I reckon [emoji33]) Got a 3+ on clearblue so I’m cautiously stopping testing now and waiting for my scan on Friday. Have you got an early scan booked? https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180813/57103d36ab0f0d8e0e08963c11105676.jpg

yea it is a little quiet, but I'm sure things will amp up soon, its a bit of a waiting game :)

oh thats so good, I havent done one of the digital clearblue tests this time, not sure if I will bother buying one or just use up the FRER I still have lol

I havent even booked in to see a Dr yet, I will be ringing tomorrow. So I'm not sure when my first scan will be. With my last pregnancy I didnt get one until 11 weeks :( long time to wait as I'm only 5 weeks.

how have you been feeling?

I was getting a little nervous because my wondfos werent darkening. My DH begged that I stop testing. It worked for a day and then I finally got the darkness I wanted. Second beta is today, hopefully results tomorrow. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180813/f4fcac4aeb3ad040a15b27164388b4c8.jpg

I’m ok thanks, sore boobs and very irritable [emoji23] but that’s about it symptom wise. With both my boys I never had a scan ( or a worry!) till my scans at 12 weeks and that did feel like forever. I’m very glad I’m getting an early one this time. How are you feeling?

@HGmama - those are great dark lines!!! how exciting :) goodluck for your results, I hope they are great!

@mummy2boys - glad to hear you arent feeling too bad, yea I kind of like the idea of an early scan but I doubt my Dr would even see a need, noone has ever offered me one that early.

I'm alright, have random little moments of nausea and going off food and feel tired alot but thats about it. interestingly, I dont have sore boobs yet, although that could be the fact that I am still bf'ing my daughter once a day still. maybe that effects it a little. with all my other pregnancies I had already stopped bf when I got pregnant. I tried to use it as a sway tactic this time lol

HG, I've never been through what you have before (HUGGGGSSSSS) and I am still testing! Sometimes I would show DH and say yep! It's still real, I'm still pregnant lol. I'm 25 dpo today/5 weeks 4 days according to my app.

40119

I have an excess of opks so on days I dont use a HPT and I feel to test I use an opk lol

I dont think I would feel comfortable until I get that first scan and especially get to do a NIPT test. I am so aware of my age and the risks this time.

Just like with my last pregnancy, since finding out I've had no nausea and I'm just extremely tired. However, this morning I got up feeling very nauseous. I'm so excited to be pregnant but if I'm honest here I definitely forgot how horrid the nausea feels. Praying that i don't get it all day like with my last 2.

When will you get the results of the second draw?

Missiz, why won't they scan you early? My appt is booked for when I'm 7weeks 4 days.

M2B, when is your scan? Sorry if you said before and I missed it.

Will anyone be finding out gender ? Or having fun with old wives tales? I know ramzi has been debunked and so it is considered an old wives tale but it's been spot on for both my boys. I might try to start having some guessing fun with that once everything looks ok at my first scan.

Beautiful test jgojah! How old are you if you don’t mind me asking? I’m very aware of increased risks at my age and I am a bit worried. I’m 41. I had my two boys at 34 and 37 with no issues at all but had two losses and a chemical since starting trying over a year ago.
My scan is on Friday so I’ll be 6 weeks 2 days. That’s the exact time I started miscarrying with my last one so I’m pretty worried about it tbh. Glad you can have an early scan too, bet you are looking forward to it!

@jgojah - I'm not sure, they've never asked me to get one earlier than 10 weeks and I sort of never pushed it.

I will be doing the Harmony Test at 10 weeks to find out gender like I did last time. and then have my first scan around 10-12 weeks... which seems like a lifetime away lol

@mummy2boys - goodluck with your scan this week, I hope it goes great and everything is all good xo

Hello everyone. I finally found this board. I think I have a due date of April 2. Just reached 7 wks and feeling pretty normal (irritable some days and occasional slight nausea or headache). I reached 7.5 weeks when my last pregnancy ended and didnt find out until more than a month later, so I feel like I am holding my brearh a bit and not fully believing that I could have a baby in April. We'll see! My first doctor's appointment is in 2 weeks.
I am 39 and nearly certain this is our last attempt for baby #2. My first pink sway 5 years ago resulted in a beautiful boy who just turned 4.
I hope you all are feeling healthy.

Hi! I'm joining! Due April 18.

I'm 4+5 today and what's great is that this pregnancy I've not.had.the tiredness that I had last pregnancy. Last pregnancy at 4 weeks I got super duper.tired and slept all the time, was itchy, and had a bit of vaginal bleeding which scared the heck out of me. This pregnancy the only symptom so far is lightheadedness.

Last pregnancy nausea started for me at 5 + 6, and I am not looking forward to that again! I feel like I really need to enjoy this last week of no nausea.

I got my BFP exactly a week ago and somehow refrained from testing again, but I'm gonna test again today to make sure the line is getting darker.

Congrats to everyone!

Great to see you join our group MrsEnglish, congrats on your BFP!! glad to hear you have been feeling pretty good in your early weeks, I hope it stays that way for you. Each pregnancy can be different so you might not even get ms this time!! :)

I'm 38...I've never suffered a miscarriage but being on these forums have opened my eyes to how much it happens !!! I had absolutely no idea of the struggles women go through with that.

I pray that this time everything is perfect with your little one :)

Can wait for your update on Friday

Hey gafan!!! Glad you have been still feeling normal.

FX for a H&H 9 months for you. Will the doc do a scan at ur appt?

Hi! I'm joining! Due April 18.

I'm 4+5 today and what's great is that this pregnancy I've not.had.the tiredness that I had last pregnancy. Mrs English, you sound like me!!! Lol I'm so enjoying the no nausea atm!

U have such great restraint with not testing :D

Hi gafan, glad you found us!
Welcome mrs English, beautiful test [emoji7]
Ladies, I’m freaking out (again[emoji849]) So I had one last clear blue digital left and did it this morning and the weeks have gone down from 3+ to 2-3. That can’t be a good thing can it? I’m trying to stay calm and hope my urine was dilute or something but this is pretty much how my last loss started, except I never got to 3+ last time. I have my scan on Friday but that seems like ages away!!!

I know that at some point your hcg levels out to the point where tests can become lighter (or therefore show fewer weeks pregnant for a digital). That’s very likely what’s happening. I feel like I remember reading that at one point doe why those digital tests didn’t have further dating read outs beyond 3 weeks pregnant.
I definitely understand how nerve wracking that is though.

Well I am officially joining! I had my scan today at 6w5d and saw/heard a tiny little heartbeat. I’ve had a miscarriage prior to each successful pregnancy before so I was definitely cautious going into the scan. Still a little nervous that this one is somehow jinxed though because it wasn’t proceeded by a miscarriage (as backwards as that sounds[emoji39]).
I did the panorama/harmony test early on with my last two babies so I hope to do that this time as well. I don’t have the patience to be team green haha.

@MrsEnglish - wow look at that dark line, excellent!!

@mummy2boys - I've never taken more than one of those digital clearblue tests so I've not experienced the numbers going down like that, but it is possible it could have been more diluted urine like you said. I'm glad you have a scan on Friday to maybe ease your mind. FX everything is ok xox

@HGmama - great to see those numbers going up so nicely :)

@Thinkingofthree - Welcome to the due date group!! how exciting that you've already heard the heartbeat, it always gave me a little reassurance when seeing it :) lol I'm the same as you, not patient enough to be team green, I think it would drive me absolutely bonkers!!!

I had a bit of drama here at my house last night, my middle DS fell off our 2m high slide and landed on his head :worry: ended up with 2 lacerations to the back of his head and they had to glue the larger one shut, he was under observation at the hospital for a few hours to make sure he didnt have a concussion, and then I had to wake him every 2 hours through the night to make sure he was able to wake up :( we are all tired lol he is acting like his normal self today which is good!!

How is everyone feeling about their sways?

For whatever reason I have convinced myself that I'm having a girl. I can't really help it even though I know that will make it more disappointing if it is a boy. I'll find out a few months before it's born though, so I think if it's a boy I'll have enough time to get used to it. But I definitely have a strong girl gut feeling.

I might do baking soda test, even though it's an old wives tale.

Yes I also haven’t posted tons. I’m have two boys and swayed girl. I was overall happy with my sway and glad that I lost the weight I lost. However the month I conceived was not a great month for swaying because I went on vacation and didn’t really keep up the diet well. [emoji53] I did do good on drinking though haha [emoji38]. I’m trying not to get my hopes up about girl as a result. I’m going to try to stay away from any OWT “tests” because I did those with DS2 and they said girl and they definitely got my hopes up.

Happy to report that still no nausea, but food cravings/aversions started today, so I know nausea will follow. Having the exact same cravings as my first pregnancy (fruit!). I'm still not feeling more tired than usual, so that is great.

Annoyingly, yesterday and today I had a small amount of brown discharge. I had the exact same thing last pregnancy and my doctor told me it was completely unimportant, but still no one wants to see reddish discharge when pregnant.

Mummy good luck today on your US!

Mrs English I had a chocolate milk craving with all three of my sticky pregnancies (2 boys, 1 girl) With my ds2 I was drinking sometimes a litre a day and it had to be the rich creamy stuff. Exactly the same with my dd that eventually followed, I HAD to limit myself some days as I was worried about my choccy milk intake... so same cravings means zero. Another craving from all 3 pregnancies is fresu fruit salad [emoji23] like really!!! Can we not crave the stuff in a normal day???!!

Mummy in my last miscarriage my bloods were only slightly rising as well and it was not ectopic, so hoping for that tiniest of win for you.

Also I actually never started to lose the baby, my body wanted to hang onto it, so I don’t have insight on that. Once we monitored for a week and saw that he baby’s heart had stopped and wasn’t growing we scheduled a DNC.

Sending you SO MUCH love. What next steps do you have?

I think I'm 5w + 4d. My coverage gives me one early pregnancy scan where you can go in between 5-9 weeks, then nuchal translucency at around 12 weeks. I chose to schedule my scan on the later side (8 weeks).

Are you still in the hospital? What are the doctors saying?

Thanks Pbn. Get my results at 4pm today. I’m feeling so down and really torn between wishing for a miracle and that it’s tripled and everything will be ok. ( crazy I know) and hoping that my levels have dropped massively and bleeding will start soon. DH is being ok but working super hard so never at home and barely saying anything about what’s happening, I just want him to talk to me. And I’m feeling terribly guilty about my boys having a rubbish summer break as I feel I’m not being the best mum either because I’m so stressed [emoji17][emoji17][emoji17]

Just spoke to consultant, they want me to go in tomorrow to talk about options, either methotrexate or surgery. I don’t want either! Anyone had any experience of these? They are treating it as an ectopic even though there was a sac seen.

I don't have any experience with this, just wanted to say I am so very sorry you're going through this. I saw what atomic wrote and that made sense. Is there a way for them to explain to you why they want to treat for the ectopic even if there is a sac in the uterus? They know way more than me, but I think questions are never too many.

Sending you so so so so so many hugs.

Hi!
Im new in this forum! Due early May 2019...
I have a question on betas...
Went the first day I had faint Bfp, and had Hcg of 5.
I started to worry to I went in 24 hours later... it was now in 14.

I know its the doubling that counts... but is tripling the numbers in just 24 hours too much? Ive read it should double in 48 hours. This was in 24 hours, and almost 3 times.

Im scared of having multiples [emoji85][emoji85][emoji85]

Happymommy mine once went from 9 to 44 in 48 hours. It's common and normal for hcg to rapidly increase in these very early stages.

Missed this somehow and seen it quoted by kiku...

Will they not monitor levels for a few more days?? I know someone who has had the methotrexate and went on to conceive the fourth cycle after. Pretty sure it's a 3 month minimum wait to conceive again due to it being in your systemthat long... You'd have to clarify with them though. Seems a bit odd to suggest surgery if they're not even sure [emoji848]

Hi ladies, they’ve decided now they think it’s a missed miscarriage rather than ectopic so I’m having medical management tomorrow. I wanted it to pass naturally so have had one final hcg to see if it’s going down yet and just waiting for results. Has anyone had the tablets before? Think they are a pessary?

Sorry I didn’t see this before being as you’ve probably already made your decision. I’ve used the tablets for a missed miscarriage before. They were inserted vaginally. Doc said they can be taken orally but vaginally is more effective. It was a hard process but over within 8 hours. I felt like I was constantly on the toilet. Painful cramps. Weak from losing blood and fluids. It caused diarrhea too. I had a friend go through the same situation and she had a very similar experience. It wasn’t pleasant by any means but pretty sure nothing of this nature is. I haven’t had a d&c so can’t really compare.
Sorry for all you’re going through. [emoji22][emoji177]

Hi ladies,

I hope that by writing this I don't make everyone think I'm a psychopath, but I just wanted to get this off my chest. Usually during the follicular phase of ovulation I am a very calm, slow to anger person, but during the luteal phase I have a strange anger problem, and now in pregnancy the anger problem is stronger and there seems to be no end in sight (until after delivery). Why I call my anger problem strange is because I don't (thank goodness!) act out on it, I just have terribly violent fantasies so intense that I clentch my fists.

I tried googling rage fits in pregnancy, and it seems pretty common, but for everyone else it was directed at their DH as a response to something annoying he just did, and then they yell at him. I sometimes feel a dull resentment toward DH, but the burning rage is never directed at him, in fact it's directed at various people who mistreated me in the past (and nothing like sexual abuse) and who I haven't even seen for quite some time and aren't in my life anymore. And I just get these violent fantasies of mauling them which is way overreacting to what they did to me.

I don't think I need to see a psychiatrist because I am not acting out on the anger, and once the rage fit passes I am ashamed of what I imagined doing to the person. I'm not interested in getting on some kind of medicine, but would like practical tips on how to stop/minimize this rage.

Has anyone experienced anything similar?

atomic sagebrush
August 26th, 2018, 01:49 PM
Yes, I have the same thing and I've learned it's actually only the first week of the luteal phase (at least for me) and I figure it has to be progesterone. Actually kind of looking forward to menopause to get rid of it to be honest. Sometimes it's anger with someone present, other times it's things from the past or more global situations where I just get furious with people that I don't even know LOL.

Some months are terrible, some months are barely there. I felt it was at its worst during my late 30's and has gotten better since then.

@MrsEnglish - dont worry you're not alone with the crazy angry moodiness, I have struggled with that ever since having my daughter, I think my hormones have shifted a little because it does feel different.

@HGmama - oh you poor thing, that must be terrible! are you taking any medication to try and ease the nausea at all? hoping it improves for you soon xo how long were you sick with your last pregnancy?

my whole family has gone down with a cold so we've just been laying low and trying to recover :( getting sick while pregnant really takes it out of you thats for sure :( went to my 1st Drs appoint last tuesday and got a request form for my Harmony Test and also a routine ultrasound at around 12 weeks, so yea will be waiting for those when they come up in a few weeks.

Missiz- my HG lasted until approximately 33 weeks, and then was able to stay on just oral meds. I went to ER at 14 weeks for fluids and then L&D for fluids at 16 weeks and then started home health at 18 weeks. So I got IV fluids at home when needed and then started a zofran pump in my abdomen from weeks 18-33. I delivered at 38 weeks.

HGMama, you're a hero in my eyes. Fx for you that it will be less severe this time. All the mom's who suffer HG are heros in my eyes. I don't vomit often (maybe once every two years) but when I do it totally knocks me out where I won't go to work that day and won't go shopping or do chores, just stay in bed all day.

Last pregnancy I had pretty bad nausea the first trimester but the only time I vomited during pregnancy was when I was in labor. So far this pregnancy is the same with nausea but no vomiting.

Well it looks like it was a miscarriage rather than ectopic as my levels have plummeted from over 4000 to 121 in 4 days. The tablets weren’t that bad really, some cramping for a few hours and then bleeding a bit like a heavy period. They’ve referred me to the recurrent miscarriage clinic too. Just have to take a test in 3 weeks to check it’s negative. It’s so sad to be taking a test and hoping for no line [emoji17]

I had my appt this morning. I had my DH come because I knew I had to return to the same ultrasound room where I learned that our previous baby girl didn't have a heartbeat anymore. I was scared. But everything went fine. Today was a pretty good day on the nausea and vomiting ride. We are upping my scheduled medications and won't hesitate to get fluids if needed. Baby measured only one day behind at 6 and 5 instead of 6&6. I ovulated on day 15 so it actually lines up perfect. Baby had a fluttering heartbeat. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180831/53fb66eadd27c4fe9968ea3c2b898e9c.jpg

Mummy - I'm so sorry you had to go through this but I'm glad that the pills were ok and that your HCG is dropping fast. I've done the waiting and watching for the HPTs to turn negative again and it really, really sucks. Huge hugs to you. I hope your beautiful rainbow girl is coming soon. I so nearly gave up after my 3rd m/c - I really didn't think I could handle it anymore - but I'm happy I didn't. I'm really glad you're going to be able to get testing now. It helped me a lot - even though everything came back normal & I didn't get an answer for the losses it gave me more confidence that it was just "bad luck" and that I could try again.

HGMama that is wonderful!!! Beautiful bean growing in there! Sorry about the HG :( :( I can't imagine - I am a total wuss when it comes to vomiting!! I do everything possible to avoid it. I threw up the other day randomly and afterwards I had a full on sob fest in front of DH & my boys! :)

So exciting that May ladies are joining! Welcome everyone!

I'm doing okay. I should just be grateful that I'm pregnant and that the pregnancy is going well, but gosh darn it nausea makes gratitude difficult. First trimester = worst trimester!

so I had my routine blood test that the Dr gives you 1st visit, got it done yesterday and it wasnt too bad (I hate blood tests lol) so hopefully that should all be good. Wanted to ask if anyone has started getting food cravings or aversions yet? I am suddenly craving fruit and perhaps chicken lol which is really random. I have also been having trouble with bad after taste in my mouth after eating certain foods :( its nasty, and it brings on my morning sickness when it happens which sux. so how is everyone else holding up? no scans coming up or is anything happening at all?

I eat a bowl of raspberries/strawberries a few times a week and today I could barely stomach them. I think the flavor was too strong for me.

Yep, I have had a throbbing headache for the last few days before I tested - DH kept asking me what was wrong and I said I can't shake this headache- I thought it was from my sudden insomnia but I guess more likely from hormones/blood flow!

Hey ladies! I had a very big scare last week. I was at work and I went to the restroom because I was feeling wet down there and I saw bright red blood in my underwear! I was terrified! So I called my OB immediately and they got me in right away for an ultrasound and to my surprise baby was doing fine. Heartbeat was 179 bpm what a relief!! I have still been spotting off and on but it has pretty much stopped. Has anyone ever experienced anything like this?

@Wishing4Pink - Yes I decided to keep this pregnancy a secret longer than my previous ones, and I am finding it difficult having noone really to talk to about it, thats why I appreciate this forum and the ladies so much. Yes its definitely an opportunity to make friends, I am still in contact with mums from my due date group with my daughter who is now 2 :)

@dreamofdaughter - I can imagine you must be so worried, have you had any pain or cramping? perhaps you could talk to your Dr and get a scan done to see whats going on? Its still possible that the baby is ok, people have had bleeding before and gone on to have successful pregnancies, I hope this is the case for you xo thinking of you :fx:

Try not to worry. The same thing happened to me with this pregnancy right around 5 weeks. I was really scared so I went to the doctor and got an ultrasound and everything was fine they saw a yolk sac but no heartbeat and I went back a week later and the heartbeat was there. This pregnancy has been very different I’ve had two episodes of bleeding which completely freaked me out. Maybe you could call the doctor just to get some reassurance. I hope everything is ok FX!

My sil had bleeding several times during her last pregnancy and went on to have a healthy girl. From what I understand, if there isn't any cramping then that's a good sign. A lot of bright blood with cramping is what to watch for i guess. I pray everything is fine and you get confirmation soon! :bighug:

I did. hcg indicate m/c. I also bled pretty much non-stop on Sunday - it was a very surreal experience. My DH could barely talk all day. I feel so much like I failed him.

All symptoms are completely gone. Trying to stay positive and be happy I was able to conceive; really that was only our 3rd attempt (and the last one was very poorly timed), that is at least reassuring. Hoping I can beat the odds on hold on the next time.

Hope all the expectant mammas are feeling good!

Thank you for your reply. It is just how he deals with it and I'm sure I am projecting my feelings of failing onto him it's just difficult because I feel like I have to pretend to be coping well with it because he is so depressed. Like it's no use if both of us spiral down, you know?

I didn't have much cramping or pain, I am lucky it was minimal. Oddly, I thought it was all done and then I had some cramps on my left side this morning then just now I went for a walk at work and I flooded! I had to go to a coffee bathroom and passed a huge clot and almost burst into tears. It's all very - I don't know - surreal I guess. But I just keep telling myself, it will be ok and I'm not giving up. I just want the bleeding to stop so I don't have a reminder of it.

Question for you all - I’m 10.4 weeks pregnant. I was ttc girl so I’m taking extra folate along with my prenatals. I got really bad stomach flu and haven’t been able to keep anything down for 36ish hours. I won’t have had a prenatal or extra folate for 3-4 days by the time I can actually keep some down. I know atomic says to keep taking the high doses of folate throughout the first tri. So the question is how much should I be concerned that I haven’t taken my pills in so long? [emoji31]

I don't think you should sweat it. While folic acid is important throughout pregnancy, all the nural tube defects happen way, way early (can't remember but either week 3 or week 5) so at 10 weeks that is not a concern anymore.

Try to keep hydrated, if you get dehydrated you can go to the Dr and get fluids IV, it goes straight to the vein so you can't throw it up that way. They can also give you dextrose IV and fix your electrolytes if they are.off. Get well soon!!!

I think if I find out it's a boy I'll be a little disappointed, but that it won't be very bad, but who really knows how they will take it until it happens?

Hi. I learned that my due date is April 2, and I have sort of been between groups.
Yesterday I had a CVS test at 12 weeks and it looks like it caused a subchorionic hematoma.
Baby is ok for now. But my risks of bad outcomes just went way up. I am worried but there is nothing to do. Chances are I can deliver a healthy baby. I will try to focus on that.
Have any of you had a subchorionic hematoma? It looked big but I don't know if it was considered big.

Hey gafan, how come you had to have a CVS? I have never had a subchorionic hematoma, but I just went and did a bit of reading on it, and its definitely possible to have a successful pregnancy despite having it. I understand its not the ideal situation but like you said, focusing on the positive is the best thing you can do right now. Thinking of you lots, just try and take it easy ok xo Do the Drs want to monitor you more closely now?

Today I just had a little spotting and everything seems ok for now. I am on pelvic rest and no strenuous lifting or exercise. I am tired so resting more and others suggested staying extra well hydrated.
The reading I did on this condition suggests everything could be fine or big complications/loss ahead. Chances are good that all will go fine. There is not much I can do. Just wait and see.

MrsEnglish i think these dreams play on our anxieties and fears i really wouldnt put too much into it but i know its hard especially when you've swayed and want a girl so much, when will you find out? i really think 1 attempt with AI sways strongly pink (i got my DD3 this way) if baby is a boy then he is one tough determined little guy who has beaten all the odds and is absolutely meant to be for your family :) i have everything crossed for you for pink, how will your dh be if baby is a boy? i remember you saying you sway mainly because he only wants girls xx

We have a little bit different situation, I didn't talk about it before because I didn't want to offend anyone, but the reason we want a girl is because DH has a brother with severe autism who is completely handicapped and living in a group home, and I have a brother with mild autism who is completely independent and successful in his career, and a similar uncle who is undiagnosed but we are pretty sure he is on the spectrum. So we are both genetically high risk for having a child with Autism, and DH has trauma from growing up with his brother. There's basically no way to prevent it except adoption which we considered, but if we have a girl the chance of her having Autism is much much lower (because girls in general have autism much less). A secondary reason that we prefer a girl is that DH has some traits that he feels would be better in a female than a male (he's absolutely drop dead gorgeous but he's really short as am I and he has gorgeous blond hair which he says is feminine). If we knew that a boy would not have Autism and would grow up to be at least 5'6, then we'd be as happy to have a boy than a girl, but if we find out we're pregnant with a boy it will be a stressful time until he proves he is not on the spectrum, and if he is really short DH might (but might not) project his own height insecurities on him. Having a girl would just be so much less worry.

MrsEnglish i understand  there is nothing offensive in your reasons at all. im sorry to hear about the severity of dh's brother that must be so tough for his family and i completely get the fear of history repeating if you had a boy, especially as its not something they can test for or diagnose during pregnancy or at birth so it'd be a long time worrying about "what if". its sad your dh feel's his height and hair colour are negative things :( but i know that insecurities are very hard to let go of, i really hope you guys get your dream all girl family i have everything crossed for you xx

I had a dream last night where I had three little girls. It wasn't an explicit dream where this baby that I'm pregnant with now comes out and is a girl, but that must be the implication since the middle child was a girl. That dream left me with a good feeling, especially since 3 is *probably* the number of children that DH and I will have.

It's been some time since I've been on here but it seems like every time I have a chance to log on I end up falling asleep. I'm so exhausted all of the time. According to OB (and as of lmp) I'm 5 wks along with a due date of 17 May 2019 but this date doesnt match when I ovulated so hopefully they change it to 20th and let me deliver by c-sec on this day. Our 2nd child's birthday is in May and we'd like to put a gap between their bdays.

I've never had morning sickness with my previous pregnancies but I have been quite nauseous with this one for the past week.

My quantitive numbers look great but I'm nervous about my tsh being so low and my FT4s being high. Endo says all is ok and my synthroid won't be changed for the moment and repeat bloodwork in 4 wks. I'm still uneasy about my levels and just want to make sure I do everything to keep this LO sticky and healthy.

I hope all of you ladies are doing well!

@Wishing4Pink - hehe yes exhaustion hits so hard in early pregnancy, its amazing we get anything done at all in the day :) hehe

I hope your morning sickness doesnt get any worse, it makes daily life just that little bit more difficult when your feeling horrible.

Thats fair enough, sounds like you are being monitored well and your little bean is in the best hands possible!

Sorry for being MIA. I've just been too sick and exhausted to update. I have had such an increase in my nausea and vomiting that I have had to visit to the ER. Last Wednesday and today. I was hoping that they'd at least Doppler me to check on baby, but nope. I'll be having an appt next Monday and she will Doppler me then. Hoping to get set up with infusion clinic next week.

oh HGmama, how terrible for you :( its a bummer they didnt check the baby when you were so sick in ER. at least you have another appt soon. thinking of you, hope the medication can ease some of your sickness, its just miserable when you are that sick xo

Can I ask you ladies, has anyone had a routine urine sample test positive for infection but be showing no signs of a UTI? I had a Dr ring and say it was positive for infection and that they wanted to do another test. I dont think I've ever had that in pregnancy before.

Update: The genetic tests came back normal, that's good news! My bleeding stopped, and there has been less spotting. For now it seems all is well.

I decided not to find out the sex yet- I just didn't feel ready. I might wait 2 weeks, or until 20 week scan.

Which is ridiculous because worrying does nothing to help and delayed joy and hope don't prevent grief. Tomorrow starts week 12 and I will try to feel more confident.

The leukocytes are usually positive when you have a UTI. It is just saying there are some white cells in your urine fighting something off. Just my experience... Hope you don't have to deal with UTI during pregnancy.

@gafan - oh ok, thanks for letting me know. I had no idea you could have a UTI without symptoms. I will be doing a retest tomorrow and the Dr has given me a script for antibiotics if the test comes back positive again. will see how it all goes.

Also glad to hear your results have come back normal, and my goodness you must have incredible self control to not find out now that the test has been done! I am definitely not as strong as you :P

I had my routine monthly Dr appoint yesterday which was going fine until he decided to try and find bubs heart beat on a portable doppler :( he spent about 5 mins searching all around without any luck, honestly my heart was in my throat the entire time. So when he couldnt find it he pulled out a portable U/S machine and I got to see bub for the first time, thankfully it was moving around lots, and we did see movement with the heart but because the machine doesnt have great quality it wasnt a super clear shot of a strong beating heart. but my goodness, it made me so scared for a second there... seeing bub jump around was the biggest moment of relief ever!!

I also got my Harmony blood test done yesterday, so now I will just have to wait however long until the results come back... I am so scared. Anyone else finding out soon what they are having?

I am strong in one way but my decision to wait a couple more weeks was also based on fear that the complications from the subchorionic hematoma would end my pregnancy (not highly likely but possible) and it feels easier not to know the sex until I feel a little more sure there will be a baby this April.

Okay, this answer is going to be wayyyy TMI and gross: but last pregnancy I had to produce a urine sample and I didn't have to pee that badly so I strained a bit to pee, I got the sample and noticed a cloudy chunk in it that looked just like a gob of cm, but I handed the sample in anyway, it came out positive for bacteria, and I explained to my Dr that I think some cm might have gotten into the urine sample, so I took the urine test again this time mid****** with no straining and after I wiped all the cm away from my vaginal opening, and that sample came out negative.

It's a problem for us women that our urinary system which should be sterile is so close to our vagina which is full of healthy bacteria. Add in that pregnancy often creates an abundance of cm that can drop out, and that's a recipe for a faulty positive.

awww Happymommy you have a very cute bump!!!! but I must admit, its my 4th pregnancy too and I am feeling EXACTLY the same way you are, it took no time at all for my body to "remember" how to look pregnant haha and my abdominal muscles are badly separated with an umbilical hernia too, so it takes no time at all to show! My Dr has informed me that after I am done having kids, they will have to do reconstructive surgery on my muscles and hernia to fix it all up :( yay for another surgery after just recovering from a c-section :( boo

Cute lil bump happymommy.

Had my first official two kid dream last night. It was two little boys fighting over peeing in the toilet at the same time. [emoji13] The older boy was clearly my son.

I have my OB appt tomorrow at 2:30 pm central time zone here in America. I will honestly have her check heartbeat first. Last time at my 10 week appt is when I heard the bad news so I'm extremely nervous about tomorrow. After we hear the heartbeat, we will go deep into my medical management as I'm still feeling terrible from my HG.

I just thought it was normal and ignored my dh all weekend when he asked me to call the ob. To satisfy him I called today and my ob wants me in tomorrow for an u/s. Im not an expert with nubs but from what I can tell, there is a nub visible in the top photo but not the bottom one. How far along are you?

I experienced quite a bit of cramping and pains on my left side from about 5-10 weeks - on and off

Everything checked out ok and the doc said it was probably ligament pains.

Praying it's the same for you

Everything went okay at my 10 week appt. I was super nervous to hear heartbeat, but she found it in a minute and it was strong and steady at 168 bpm.
We decided to proceed with home health. Downside- I'll have to have zofran pump (kind of like a insulin pump but for zofran and a bigger pump). Upside - I can get IVs at home.
Drew the NIPT. We'll know next week if our light sway worked.
