No 4 in a row at or around pos OPK is GREAT if hubby can keep up! Very much what I did when I got 2 of my 4 boys.
I think you are right on target!! I LOVE to see you dropping those plant milks! That seems like such a small change but it has been one of the biggest things I've seen associated with blue sway opposites!

Thank you atomic !!!! Perfect, we will do those 4 around O then! YES! After reading the forums it's opened my eyes as to how girl friendly my lifestyle was- I can't even remember the last time I drank real milk!
I hope to make you proud with a successful sway after all of the advice you've given !!!!
I'm nervous since I'm just 8 months PP and was breastfeeding but I think I can give it my best shot by changing other factors. I'm very excited!!!! I love planning! :)

Atomic!!! Question please! I have a pretty average 28 -30 day cycle and prior to having my Dd I noted that my OPK would be positive at about CD 11 or 12. For the heck of it I used opks during my first cycle back after breastfeeding and I was stil peaking at CD 12. All of august I've started my sway- upped calories, walking lots, and the all the vitamins- today is CD 18 at like midnight and I've gotten a peak OPK! Only thing that made me check was horrible right sided pains - now I know it's ovulation pain!
My question is, does starting the blue sway typically cause peak OPK later than it used to be prior to swaying ? Is it better or worse to peak later in the cycle?
Also we are NOT trying this month but we BD unprotected 2 days ago... CD 16 because I assumed O was over and we were in the clear. Ugh feel sick to my stomach. For work commitments a pregnancy from this cycle would not be good for me - someone would have to pull lots
Of strings for me to manage this work wise.
Family wise we are ready- but next month is the month we are ready to sway and ready for a positive- it also won't cause any work issues.

Swaying does change your cycle around, usually for pink swayers, occasionally for blue. We don't know if it's any better or worse for blue swayers' ovualtion to come later.
It's possible you could have gotten pregnant but peak OPK CD 18 means you'll likely O 1-2 days later, so that would be quite far out from the attempt. Try not to worry!! FXFXFX for this NOT being the month! :)

I hope so too!!!!!!!
Another question Atomic- my hair skin and nails gummies are about to run out. I was only taking 1 pill every other day but once they run out should I just forgo them?
The brand is natures bounty hair skin and nails gummies
The serving is 2 gummies but I've just been taking 1- half of all these values every other day only:
Vitamin c (as ascorbic acid) 15 mg
Vitamin e 15 IU
Biotic 2500 mcg

Start spacing them out further now and then just run the bottle out, I'd not replace them.

Any other tips for me !!!!! It's sway month! Should I amp up anything? How about the week before or week of O???
I'll take mucinex 3-5 days before O
We'll practice every 2-4 days unprotected BD/release
September is sway #1 attempt !!!!! According to my app O will be at the end of September!

Nope, the only thing you guys need to change at that last month is being sure hubby does the regular release and do the guaifenesin and it sounds like you got that covered!!!! Good luck and tons of blue dust headed your way!

Hmmm there seems to be more activity in the pink swayers section than the blue!!! I come on the forums looking to read stuff almost 3x a day lol!
Atomic I found a post where you mentioned English black tea so I've been having that since sept 1st- almost everyday but 3-4x a week on average. I haven't had coffee in a week.
I'm so nervous to make this attempt!
Aug 1 I was 178 lbs and now I'm 183!!!

There are more pink swayers, unfortunately! But I know of a lot of blue swayers who want to chat more and support each other, so come on you shy blue ladies! There are other people here who can support each other! :bluecheer: :bluecheer: :bluecheer:
:agree: switching to tea! People always ask (since I have 20 years between my oldest boy and my youngest) "what did you do all that time that got you so many boys and that is the number one thing I did year after year was drink tea! :)
I want you to try to hold steady on weight from here on in by cutting back on any extraneous sources of calories that you don't strictly need! If u want me to look over your diet and see what I would switch up to stop the weight gain, I'd be happy to.

Thank you Atomic !!!! I'm a vegetarian so I've been carb heavy here and there which I know isn't good- I'm making a conscious effort to stop! I also should be working out a bit more this month than last.
Today-
Breakfast: kashi go lean triple berry cereal with whole milk
Snack: black English tea with splash of whole milk and 2 pieces of 70% dark
Chocolate
Lunch: kale superfoods salad with pumpkin seeds and a veggie patty
Snack: celery with cream cheese and a pure protein bar
Dinner: big taco salad: sour cream, cheese, guacamole, black beans, onions, lettuce, tomatoes all in a crispy tortilla shell
Snack: Greek yogurt and 1/4 or less of mixed nuts (almonds, cashew, Brazil)
Today was a good day but I've had days where dinner will be a veggie burger with fries or lunch will be too carb based etc. I don't eat eggs either so it's tricky for me to sneak in that protein everywhere I can!
I'm really hoping my upped dairy intake, especially the whole
Milk (because I had given it up for 5-6 years) helps
Me!

Yes honestly that looks like the right type of foods, so in that case then just cut back portions by a bit or have ONE option instead of both when you are having two things. So instead of having the salad and the veggie patty, have just the salad (the nuts will probably be enough protein), cut back the size of the taco salad, pick either the nuts or the yogurt, not both. But that having been said I suspect adding in more exercise will really help too!!!

Atomic.... it happened.... AF was due to arrive today/ didn't show, took a test... it's positive !!!! What... the... heck?!?!?!?!
Bd aug 25 (cd 14)
Bd aug 27 (cd 16)
Positive OPK aug 29
Held off on BD because I DIDNT want to get preg this cycle .... aye yiy yiy
I'm super nervous
-this is going to cause difficulty with me going back to work, I'll probably have to go back to work earlier than I wanted (currently off with my DD)
-our BD pattern was horrible and I'm sure it's going to be a girl. Ugh.
I'll post my official sway in the blue sway thread later - once I process this news- I did start the HE diet aug 1st and was perfect with my walks, few works outs, sips and diet!
The BD around O is just ruined !!!!!!!
I was so excited and pumped to sway properly this month!

AAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaa :running: :bluecheer: :bluecheer: :bluecheer:
I suspect that you had the dreaded false negative OPK and ovulated sooner than you thought you did. The OPK only picked up the surge on the back end, not the front! You could easily have ovulated on CD 16/17 and perfectly timed attempts for a boy there.
I'm so sorry about your work plans though! I'm sorry to hear that.

There you are !!!!! I was waiting for your reply- I'm so so so nervous Atomic!!!! I was going to have the perfect end of September sway! Everything was bought- my mucinex just came 2 days ago!!!! Jeez!!!
What's done is done- but I'm just kicking myself if this ends up being a girl because I didn't get to fully sway with the BD the way I wanted to! I can't believe I actually got preg the one month I didn't want to ?!?!?!
I mean off course I'll be happy with a healthy baby as always- DD will get a sister- but I was really really excited and ready to sway!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If somehow this ends up being a boy- oh man, I don't know what I'll do with the excitement but I'm fully prepared for it to be a girl- and the good thing is I know why it'll most likely be a girl. Ugh. We do want 3 kids so I guess there's always one last attempt left in a couple years.
The work thing is stressful but I'm going to wait until I get my dating ultrasound to contact human resources. I'll worry about that in Octoberish. Worse case scenario I'll go back to work in November instead of December like I was supposed to.

Remember though, most people get a girl and a boy or a boy and a girl without doing ANY of this stuff! 50% of everyone just has 2 babies and gets the pigeon pair without even trying! So you CAN absolutely still get a boy no matter what!!
Good luck with HR!!!

Atomic I keep thinking about it over and over, what's done is really done - the genders already decided but I keep playing the whole thing over again!!! I hope your right about the ovulation not being right and the OPK catching the end.
So I started the diet and sups aug 1st, did this every perfectly!!!!, I didn't pick up on the black tray till end of august (around the conception) and I didn't go really hard core into the fairy until end of august- I was having some just could have had more.
We bd/release every few days (average 3-4 days all of august) but since we weren't ttc this month we slowed down around my fertile window.
We went 8 days with no BD/release (tmi- maybe hubby released I'm not sure)
Cd 14- bd
Cd 16- bd
Cd 18- was going to bd BUT felt right side pain, egg white fluid so I did a OPK and it was a blazing definite peak- no BD!!!! But already freaked out
Cd 24- bd
Cd 28- bd
I honestly thought I wouldn't get preg!!! From those attempts!!
Around when we were trying for our first I always peaked cd 11,12
The exact cycle conceived my DD
Went a stretch with no BD again
Cd 11- peak OPK
Cd 12- bd
Cd 13- bd (OPK low)
Cd 14- bd
Ugh!!!!! I'm booking my dating ultrasound soon- nothing I can look out for this early is there? It's just going to be a little blob of a baby lol.
I just did sooooo well with the diet and supps- if I hadn't gotten preg off this I had the best end of September sway planned! The BD was going to be perfect and frequent. Feeling so bummed!!!!
At this point it isn't even bummed about a possible other DD it's bummed I worked so hard to prep for the sway and djdntgey to finish excecufingit!

No I don't think there are any reliable gender clues this soon!
I completely get it - with my 4th son I was "taking the month off" to gain weight to relose (pink swayers, never gain weight to relose LOL) and then all of a sudden I ovulated and got pregnant without even having AF that month!! I was so peeved I could have chewed iron and spit nails! FXFXFX for blue for you!!

Sorry to chime in on your thread talk.kah....I’m also a blue swayer . I have 3 girls (2nd was a failed shettles and 3rd a failed blue sway) I’m having one last attempt to get a blue from this month.
I just wanted to say I TOTALLY 100% understand how bummed you must feel right now that your sway didn’t go to plan. If it makes u feel any better my last sway was fab - I BD to the letter for a blue sway and was really on top of diet etc and I happened to be in that 25% that still got an opposite. I wanted to highlight it as you never know, you may well get your little boy even tho things didn’t go to plan - don’t give up hope just yet.
Also, if it is another DD...I know gender disappointment may be hard, but I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE watching my 2 older DD’s play together - their bond is incredible and makes me melt (& I know my third will well and truly be in the mix and when she is older too) - just take heart that whatever happens, your DD will be so happy to have a sibling of either gender and if it is another girl the bond between them will be incredible and amazing for u to see.
Keeping everything crossed for you and sending blue dust. Big hugs xx
As I say, sorry to chime in - my heart just goes out to you that’s all xxx

Don't be sorry for chiming in at all!!!! I love all and any advice/stories !!
Thank you for your words it means a lot!
Yes right now I'm just so bummed the BD didn't get to be how I wanted- just wasn't expecting this to be the month! Off by 1 cycle!
I agree- I think I will have gender disappointment BUT knowing my DD will have a sister makes it easier to take. We also always wanted 3 kids so maybe #3 will be the blue if this fails- one last chance left!
The anticipation is killing me !!! Wish I could know what this baby is already!

So my dating scan will be at 8 weeks and some days - any good chance of getting nubs shots you think?
Ramsy theory isn't reliable right?
atomic sagebrush
September 22nd, 2018, 04:15 PM
8 weeks is way too soon for a nub shot!
After having seen people send Dr. Ramzi $10 to guess their ultrasounds, and he guessed WRONG, I no longer believe in Ramzi any more. Recently I found out that his "study" was never even published for review by other scientists and so that is a sign that it probably doesn't realy work. If he had a method that could be so accurate for gender and had published it for other scientists, I guarantee you it would have been proven true or false by now and every doctor in the world would be using it if it had been proven true. But they don't, because it doesn't work and the fact that he didn't bother to publish it (even though he'd be a millionaire if it was true) pretty much proves that.
