Hi all

Ive experienced pattern thinning of my hairline for years and have recently (4 months ago? 5 months ago?40174) discovered a hair supplement that seems to be helping me a lot! Its key active ingredients are some sort of fish cartilage I believe - but...its other ingredients include MALTODEXTRIN (which I believe is a fake sugar?!?)

Would this negatively impact my boy sway? Having more hair on top of my head makes me feel better but I can drop it if it may sway pink...

Ive attached a photo of the ingredients too!

Well, it says on it not ok when pregnant so I would generally not recommend taking it when TTC. I suspect the issue is not the maltodextrin but the shark cartilage (since shark may have a higher than normal mercury level) and since mercury can build up in your system, taking it when TTC does not seem to be a wise idea to me.

Has anyone ever given a reason for the hair loss?? Have you had a lot of kids back to back the last few years?

Ive never known why- hairloss does not run in my family...However, I have been recently diagnosed with an autoimmune condition and someone suggested that it might be my immune system attacking my hair follicles?

Either way, I will definitely be stopping the hair pills! Thanks for feedback, definitely wouldn't want to risk anything that could be harmful to a potential baby!

Oh yes autoimmune diseases can cause hair loss for sure. Sorry to hear that!!!
