Hi! My DH and I are planning on swaying for pink this fall. He has ADHD and would like to try a medication to help him focus st work. He has a prescription for Concerta (a form of Ritalin). Will this affect our sway at all?
Also, I have been losing weight for the past year using metformin and a low carb diet. I have markers for PCOS but have not been diagnosed with it. I try to avoid red meat when I can. Is this ok for a girl sway?

Those types of medicines appear to sway pink anyway so it's all good.
I personally don't think low carb diets are best for pink but the metformin will make up for a lot. If that is working for you, I'd have you continue, but I would absolutely try to focus on getting more of your protein, and ESPECIALLY fat intake, from vegetable sources of fat (veg oils, margarine) instead of animal.

Thanks for the reply! I will try to avoid the meat as much as possible but obviously being low carb that is difficult... I try to go for fish, chicken and turkey over anything red. Does that make a difference?
What I am reading online is some study about Concerta boosting sperm or speeding up sperm so that’s what I’m worried about.

We speculate it does make a difference but we don't have any hard data to prove it. Do keep fish to only 2x a week though since more than that is unsafe when TTC. The most important thing is that vegetable based fat, so try to use veg oil in your cooking.
"Speeding up sperm" has never been proven to help a blue sway and additionally, the concept that "Y sperm are fast" has been completely debunked. Dr. Shettles was wrong about that and it has been proven untrue as much as anything in science CAN be proven true.

Ok thanks that eases my mind a bit. So for vegetable oil I’m assuming you mean canola oil? What about olive oil/avocado oil? Also is there a thread somewhere that has suggestions for lower carb options on the LE diet ?

Canola, corn, soy, safflower, "vegetable", etc.
The healthier oils like olive and avocado are more of a gray area, so most would focus on the other oils. But I do allow them if you want to use them. Chemically, according to the animal studies, they may sway pink when eaten in larger amounts than animal based fats do but most people feel safer sticking with the more man-made veg oils.
We have our alternate diets in this thread https://genderdreaming.com/forum/gender-swaying-general-discussion/9052-swaying-under-special-circumstances-part-3-pcos.html although neither really qualify as low carb, you may still find some useful information in them.
