How does my o+12 attempt sound? im not sure im all that happy about it!

I did what i thought was close to my o+12 attempt last night (36 hours after first +opk). Basically i have been on the diet/supps for most of this year, had a 9 day abstinence, used zyrtec a couple of hours before and didn't bother with lime or acigel or anything. I got dh to the point of no return then bd and very slightly raised hips and fell asleep.

What is worrying me is the following; my cm seems to go from abundant ewcm to virtually nothing before turning creamy. We dtd when the cm was virtually nothing. What little i could get had a slight stretch but also a tiny bit creamy in colour. Was this too early? should i be waiting for cm to turn definitely creamy? The problem with this is that it seems to take ages for this to happen and i always think im gonna miss my egg. Is it good enough that the abundant ew had stopped and is it normal for cm to go from ew to nothing to creamy?

The ph of my cm was 5 max but again the problem i have is that i didn't have much to test. What happens for me when i use my digi hanna is that if i only have a tiny glob of cm, it always reads slightly higher than if i have a decent amount to stick the hanna into. is this normal? My ph at time of dtd was 5 max but if i could have measured a decent amount it would probably have been low to mid 4's. Is this what happens to other ladies?? its as if the probe cant measure accurately unless fully immersed. dh ph is 7.3.

Finally i thought my temp was up this morning 36.7 but i have just taken it at lunchtime and it was 36.25. Can temp drop during the day? I always wake up cosy when i take my temp but if its the same everyday then that is consistent isn't it? My cervix feels soft again but cm definitely creamy so i cant be currently ov.

Am worrying that i ov'd sometime between my attempt and this morning and my temp hasn't risen yet. I have a feeling that i could have done with bd a few hours after i did but am hoping that because abundant ewcm had finished and because my ph seems to have been low for the first time ever throughout ov (thanks to acidphilus!) that the timing shouldn't be too much of a problem.

Please reassure me that this was a good sway...but only if you think it was! Thanks and sorry for the ramble!

temps taken at different times of the day/not after a block of sleep aren't accurate because those aren't your resting temp so you can't compare them

how long after a pos OPK do you normally OV?

Wow, awesome sway Deaks! Dont worry, it is really so difficult to predict O, Almost like being able to predict the future! I think you were spot on with your timing. Remember it takes about 4 hours for the sperm to reach the egg, and i think a lot of the girl swayers wait too long and miss it completely. FX for you, i really hope it worked for you.

Thanks cinss, i really appreciate that! i was really concious that having suffered a chemical last month (possibly because my egg was too old having left it 40+hrs after +opk to dtd??) that i didnt want to leave it as long after +opk this time.

Thanks too rainbow, yes i have just been on IG and googled body temps and see now that they fluctuate. The amount of time that i ov after +opk seems to vary each cycle so its hard to predict. But i ov'd earlier than normal this cycle (perhaps after the good flush out during my chemical?) and felt that things were progressing faster than normal. usually my opks fade in and out a fair bit and ov is delayed. Didnt seem to happen this month so i hope my timing was ok. Just hope that dtd when my cm was in a transitional state was ok but at least there wasnt much of any cm i guess!?

Don't worry deaks! I think you're right in that not much cm of any type is good for a girl sway. I also think every woman's cm does different things so it's difficult to apply a general rule to everybody - I get most EWCM around 4 days before I O and I have hardly any on O day and the cycle before I got my BFP I had EWCM for the entire 2ww (after ovulation!). Even if you didn't get perfect O+12 timing (and personally I don't think that even matters!) everything else you did will sway pink for you anyway. Good luck!

Thanks zan! Yes the more i think about it, the happier i am with my sway. I guess earlier today when i was fretting, i was worried that perhaps i hadnt ov'd yet but i definately havent today so either i was just a few hours too early with my attempt or it was pretty much right. Either way my ph was low, my blood sugar levels have been low, we abstained for 9 days and i took a zrytec a couple of hours before when i saw that my cm was changing. So fx!!

Everything I would have said has already been said, but I wanted to tell you I think it was perfect. If you waited longer you could have missed the egg. All the other factors are so much more important anyway. Fingers crossed for your BFP. I know last month was difficult for you.

Hey we are cycle buddies! I had my o+12 attempt last night too (well this morning at 4am) 32 hrs after my first pos opk. I think you had great timing! Hope we both get our bfps!

Thanks so much ladies for the reassurance! Feeling very positive even if my cm wasnt quite perfect. Last month was awful so as long as i dont go through that again i will be happy.
