View Full Version : Does an Inhaler Sway?

I went to the doctor today for a cough that just won't go away, and he prescribed me a steroid inhaler - Flovent HFA - that I'm to use for at least 2 weeks but possibly for up to a month, twice a day. Will this affect my sway at all? Anyone know?

Steroids sway blue unfortunately. :(

If you NEED medicine of course you should take it, but if it's just a pesky cough, I don't know that I would bother.

We had "walking pneumonia" which is a virus and it lasted for 8 weeks for all of us and then cleared up all on its own with no treatment.

Hmmm...food for thought. I've been using the inhaler twice a day for 3 days now. I just got my first BFN this morning and am starting to show fertile signs. If I were lucky enough to O this week, is that 3 days use of the inhaler enough to affect my sway? What about the Neo Citran I've been taking in the evenings?

I'm having trouble deciding whether to try to catch this egg as it is - on one hand, I've only been on the diet for 2 weeks, with a few days of cheating here and there (I even had a hamburger one day over a week ago, but no meat since), on the other hand my heart aches to be pregnant ASAP again and the thought of missing a precious egg when I'm already 37, then having to wait at least another month to try again makes me sad. Would the girl sway factor of having just come off a m/c outweigh the weaknesses in my sway? Basically all I have is 2 weeks of the diet, Vitex twice daily since m/c, Rephresh every 3 days once I stop bleeding, Zyrtec when EWCM appears, compressed frequent release.

Surely an inhaler doesn't stay in your body long, given how often I need to give it to DS when he's wheezy! I wouldn't worry too much about it, especially if you stop it now and your attempt is not straight away. I read your other thread and I don't think your sway sounds bad at all!

Zana makes an excellent point about the inhaler, when I had to give it to Marshall he was nutty nutkins for a few hours but then back to normal. Even the oral steroids seem to burn off quick once you stop taking them (thank GOD).

I really cannot say whether one factor outweighs the other. We just don't know enough. If I were in your place I can say with 100% certainty that I would try as soon as I could firstly to heal my heart. Secondly because my thinking when I conceived in my late 30's was that I had no way of knowing which egg was the last fresh one in the carton and I would never throw away the opportunity to get pg for a better sway, because sometimes the best sways don't work and the people who do nothing get their DG anyway.

Whatever you decide, jsut know that my prayers are with you.
