Hi All,
I am planning to TTC a boy end of October which would make the baby a July born. We have a daughter who is also a July born.
Do any of you have babies born in the same month and years apart? What had been your experience?

I had two babies due in June that I lost, one including an EDD only a few days after my DD's birthday -- but obviously we didn't get to navigate that.
But my sister and I had close birthdays growing up, and it wasn't ever an issue -- occasionally my sister would still be in 'all about me birthday mode' and cause some chaos on my birthday, BUT that was very much a personality thing on her part! Usually having birthdays so close together meant we as a family had party mode for longer :)

I have 3 kids (age 5, 8, and baby)and they all have May birthdays. It's never been an issue. We have one big family party and sing "happy birthday" for each kid. I do cupcakes or a tiny individual cake for each child so they aren't all blowing on the same cake. The older kids also have smaller friend parties and I'll usually put up a decoration or two on each kid's special day to individualize it a bit more. It's definitely a busy month for us, but I wouldn't change it:happy:

Oh am so sorry Throwaway_panther :(
I like when you say the family had a longer party mode. Hubby seems unconvinced to have birthdays in the same month. We may end up postponing TTC by a month.

Awwww so sweet nicolar and congratulations on your three musketeers .. you are a wonderful mom. Not sure if I would have the patience to celebrate two birthdays in the same month :)

Just keep in mind that you may not even fall pregnant in the first month of TTC, so it may not be something you even have to worry about in the end.

True that!

We have two December babies and it's actually really fun. I had this big plan where we celebrated one of their "unbirthdays" in July but never needed it. The birthdays have become part of the holiday season. The only thing I would watch out for is sometimes it's a financial punch in the gut having 2 birthdays in one month but hopefully you're a better planner than I am, LOL.

How cool ! [emoji4] I agree it could be an issue financially and in some ways emotionally too.

For whatever reason it's never really seemed to bother them. I'm blessed with fairly laid back kids in that regard. :)
