View Full Version : Took a week off because I had BFP

So I just swayed for the first time last cycle. Much to my surprise (due to cut off, one attempt, and fertility decreasing sway tactics) I got a BFP a few days before my missed period. Unfortunately yesterday the pregnancy test started getting lighter and lighter and eventually in the afternoon I started bleeding. Aside from the expected heartbreak and feelings of loss, I’m pretty angry at myself because I stopped the pink diet and exercise for a week. I wouldn’t say I was 100% blue but definitely not pink. Cut my exercise by half, increased my calories a bit, and went from two meals to three. I feel so stupid for assuming it would stick. I have three boys and this has never happened before. How many months should I be on the diet and exercise before trying again. Thanks in advance for your advice.

I just noticed something that may be confusing. By pregnancy test "getting lighter" I mean I was taking cheap pregnancy tests daily and yesterday they were much lighter than all the days prior.

I always want you guys to stop diet and start prenatals immediately upon BFP but I would continue exercising for a little bit to be sure it's not a chemical. But you already DID that!! And you largely stuck to diet as well. You are FINE to try next month. This is not that type of sway diet where if you go off it slightly for a few days you ahve to start over. It is fine to simply regroup and try this upscoming month.
I'm really sorry the pregnancy didn't work out but please don't beat yourself up over the sway - it's fine to just regroup now.

That you so much for your encouragement Atomic. I was actually kind of excited about not having to sway anymore. On the upside, I have an appointment to talk fertility medication next week. I’m excited to possibly add that to my sway. Unfortunately, this situation has cut my motivation to workout even though I did all the time presway.

Sometimes our bodies are trying to tell us something. It's ok if you don't have it in you just yet to exercise, maybe you need a small break. REgroup and start up again when you can.
