Reading back through all posts and I see a lot of boy moms say they have hypothyroidism and on medication and it sways blue - am I correct.
I am ttc a girl and wondering if I have any chance at all if I have hypothyroidism and on medication for it.

I have had hypothyroidism since I was 13 and always medicated. I have a DD and would be wildly surprised if I get a healthy boy ever. I was just reading all the posts wondering if I could get a boy with it! ;P

I have two girls and two boys. Girl, boy, boy, girl. My older two were born before I was diagnosed, my younger two were born after I was diagnosed and taking Synthroid.

I was HYPERthyroid after my first child-a boy. My thyroid was radiated (so killed) and ever since then I've been on medication. Sometimes I'm hypo, sometimes I'm hyper, sometimes I'm just right. Since my first son I've had 2 more boys and 3 girls :)

Mama to 6 Blessings!

Hoping to TTC number 7 (or twins!!!) in April 2020

Welcome to my 18 month countdown!

I was diagnosed as hypothyroid the month before we began ttc. I'm now pregnant with non id twins and hoping I get one girl. I read mixed results as to how it sways or even if it does. I'm inclined to think it's overall condition that sways more heavily. Or at least I'm hoping!! Best of luck and I hope you get your girl.

It doesn't sway blue. I have quite a lot of hypothyroid gals who are swaying blue and have all girls.

There ~may~ be a correlation between autoimmune diseases of many kinds and more boys conceived (for reasons we can only guess at.) And there IS a correlation between PCOS and some forms of thyroid disease and PCOS we do believe sways somewhat blue. This has made some people conclude that thyroid stuff sways blue but I don't find that to be a legit finding.

The good news is we have very good results with swaying for our thyroid ladies.

Thanks atomic so is the medication and the medical condition too not just swaying blue. Do you still think I have a chance of trying for a girl while taking medication for hypothyroid.

No, not at all. It is not the medication or the condition in and of itself that is swaying. Again, IT DOES NOT SWAY BLUE, please continue taking your medication.

Many people have thyroid issues that are triggered by autoimmune diseases OR are happening at the same time (like the link between Hashmoto's and PCOS) so they may have more boys but it's not the thyroid issue or the medication that is causing it. It's the connection to the other conditions that ~may~ be linked and not the thyroid.

Yes you can still conceive a girl with thyroid disease and medicaton. We've had tons of people in that boat who got girls!
