Hi,
It would be interesting to see how much weight people have lost while on a girl diet. So what diet are/were you on and how much weight did you lose?

too much!!
when I started the diet in August I weighed 105lbs. 6 weeks later I was down to 98lbs. 2 weeks after that I was at 95lbs (just one lb above being underweight for my height) so I had to stop to try and regain weight.
I spent 5 weeks trying to regain weight, and got back up to 100lbs.... but since starting the diet again less than a week ago I'm already back down to 96lbs :(
it's sooooo hard to slow weight loss especially if you're on the slim side to begin with!

Just out of interest where on the BMI scale were you when you conceived?

GeCon - BMI is shown to not sway - according to the Oxford study women who conceived both boys and girls had identical average weight and average BMI too

Interesting to know although I was only asking to get an idea of whereabouts the weight was. Can a very low BMI not delay ovulation though?

I started out the diet in May at about 128-130 lbs - the same weight I was when I conceived all my boys. I lost 20lbs while on the diet the first time, mostly within the first 2 months.
I gained 13 lbs back during the 2 months and a bit I was pregnant (oh, all that glorious food I was suddenly allowed to eat again after 4 months of denying myself all my favourite things!).
Since my m/c 4 weeks ago, I've lost 7-8 lbs of the weight I had gained. I'm happy with my weight right now - hovering between 115 and 116 - and am trying to make sure I eat enough calories so I don't lose much more. I felt I was too skinny when on the diet the first time and wondering if it was hindering my attempts to get pregnant.

Wow! Interesting, rainbow. I didn't realize that but it's good to know!

I didn't lose a whole lot on the diet but then again didn't have a lot to lose. I didn't have trouble losing too much too quickly either but many swayers do. With my last sway, I was about 113 and then went down to 108. I'm 5' 4.5" FWIW.

if you have a BMI that's TOO low it can actually stop ovulation, not just delay it
I do think the change in weight/health sways, just not the actual weight! there was some evidence that women who are lighter at a conception after a recent birth than they were before conceiving their previous pregnancy are more likely to have girls (or something like that)

I went from 125 to 105 on the Le diet, in 2 months I think. Then I gained back a little because I was worried I would stop ovulating and wouldīt conceive being that thin.
I was surprised it was so easy to loose weight once I was on the diet, I had never dieted before in my life, and I would never have been motivated enough if it hadnīt been for swaying reasons.

I'm the same way, Indira - I've never dieted a day in my life and would never in a million years have imagined that I could have the willpower to do it (like most boy moms, I loooooove food). I guess all you need is the right motivation.

My BMI was around 24 - it was 31 beforehand.

I lost a stone (14lbs) in about 6 weeks without really trying. I wasn't overweight to start with. BMI was 24 before I started and is 22 now. I seem to have plateaued for the last 6 weeks or so and have stayed around 11 stone. I work on the basis that so long as I don't gain any weight, I am doing ok! - I am 5ft 10 by the way.

I have my first attempt coming up soon and have lost 11lb in about 6-7 weeks so far. I am doing the IG diet. MY BMI was 21.68 and Now is 20.9. The weight is just dropping off really but I am eating so much less food than I ever would if I was just dieting and have so much more willpower. This is probably the smallest I've been bar pre DS1.

I have lost 2 pounds the first month. I am 5"4 and have been 120 since high school and never dieted. I started LE and I think i was eating too little and I didn't lose any weight the first two weeks, but at the end of the first month i had lost 2 lbs. My clothes are fitting so much looser I am excited to weigh in at the end of this week and see how much more weight I have lost (I weigh myself every 2 weeks)

Great work done. If you want to reduce the body weight more quickly than you should use the hcg diet. It is very good diet and there is no side effect you can use It without any hesitation.

Obviously this Darian is a spammer BUT I did want to let everyone know that the HCG diet is actually a really BAD idea for TTC pink because it raises testosterone! So if you were thinking about trying it to help you lose weight for swaying, DON'T.

I thought I'd update this thread, my weight loss does seem to have plateaued! In my 2ww this time I haven't lost any more weight, although I have been allowing myself to eat a bit more. I'm now at 93-94lbs (4'11") and so right at the bottom of healthy BMI range.
Going to have to actively try and cut down on food for the next few weeks to try and lose another lb or two before OV!

Rainbow, I don't think you should lose any more. Just maintain where you are at.
Thanks for the update, glad to hear you plateaued!

I am exactly the same. I did the raw diet before my wedding for about two months, and it was easy because I mostly eat fruits and vegetables anyway. But that's really the only time I've dieted before. I've lost a minimum of 5 pounds in the last week since I started the Low Everything diet and I'm totally shocked by it.
