Where to begin? I have 3 sons and I am beginning to think with them I did the same thing. I have been reading the forums and holy moly the amount of ways you all got your girls or are trying to get them. I have no idea where to begin with me! It is a bit overwhelming!
I started taking cranberry pills, I think half the reason why I have boys is because I have more of a alkaline environment below vs acidic. With the boys I hardly ate dairy or drank it, occasional ice cream and glass of milk. I was big with them on fast foods, we didn't have much money so dh would bring home food most of the time and it wasn't exactly healthy. As for dh he wears boxers not anything remotely tight below, his diet consists of mostly unhealthy things now, poor man works so many hours a day that when he gets home at 11pm his first grab is chips. lol.
I was thinking of taking calcium and magnesium supplements, and my prenatals. Has anyone used the calcium and magnesium supplements?
I read on here about Vitex and Soy, was wondering if anyone could give me some info on it and where to get it. :)
And also the ky jelly did anyone use that and conceive a girl? Soo many questions I apologize! haha.
I am using opks and tempting and charting, we are thinking of trying the Shettle's method as with all of my boys I conceived on or day before or day after ovulation. So I want to avoid it at all costs I think. Basically any and all advice is needed and kindly appreciated! TIA!

Hi and welcome! It does seem overwhelming at first but stick with us and ask q's about anything you don't understand - I promise it will fall into place and over time you'll discover that altho some of our advice contradicts with that given on other sites, the info here all holds together and makes sense.

Lots of people have taken cal-mag supps and gotten girls. However, lots of people have taken them and have failed sways as well. As someone who has always eaten tons of dairy and was taking tons of cal-mag supps with my failed sway with DS 4, I'm not ~personally~ convinced that cal-mag sways in the ways that people think it does or even in the direction that people believe. You can read about the reasons why here (for some reason, the second link is not working put if you read the 1st and 3rd parts, you can get the jist) the calcium conundrum - CONTROVERSIAL (http://genderdreaming.com/forum/showthread.php?610-the-calcium-conundrum-CONTROVERSIAL) It may very well be that it's the diets themselves that sway either along with or despite the mineral content, so I heartily encourage you to REALLY follow one of the diets, either the French Gender Diet, the In-Gender Diet, or my Low Everything Diet and they are all available in the Dream Members section.\
We don't put much stock into timing around here but you can find Shettles info here: Shettles method of timing (http://genderdreaming.com/forum/showthread.php?1380-Shettles-method-of-timing)

Thank you so much for the input back! I will definitely be reading around, I have been already. Any advice I appreciate! I have the shettle's book and I know they say to increase calcium and magnesium for girls. But I am sure with everything it might sway both ways.
What about Vitamin c? I saw a thread on it on here and didn't get to read all the way. Does that help increase acidity? I don't get a lot of it I know that for sure. And I read that those who get stressed easy tend to make testosterone? Which I am a stress nut!

I am kind of confused about the repHresh. When would you use it and how often do you use it? Is it used before sex??

Ok so I read the thread on the vitex, and I have some questions. 1 why do people take antihistamines? And if you are taking the vitex do you need to take a antihistamine? 2 if you need to take one what would you take? 3 how much do you recommend to start off taking of vitex? Holy questions I apologize!
Also does Vitamin C sway pink?

Also does Vitamin C sway pink? And should I still take the cranberry pills with it? And discontinue taking my prenatals to sway pink?

antihistamines dry out the cm. I have changed it a lot but I normally do zyrtec in the am and benidryl in the pm (for a few cycles I tool 12hr sudafed 2x's a day, really lowered ph). Just the sudafed might work to lower ph and dry cm.
vitamin c has dried me out, some had the oppisite, but it also lowered my ph when I was taking it with cranberry. not really needed if you want to lower nutri as much as possible.
vitex only take 1 a day or it will mess you up. mine were 400mg which is a good normal dose. saw palmetto 320mg and red raspberry leaf are also good for swaying. red raspberry helps to make the baby oven stronger.
prenatals for a boy... try a low dose of iron, cal, mag, and b6. and then take prenatals as soon as you get a bfp. but I am going to take a vegan prenatal that all my friends took and they have only girls (3 moms and 9G's) called Rainbow Light Prenatal One.

it stays in there and keeps working for 3 days to keep your pH at 4.5, so you use it every 3 days once AF has gone. Some use a full applicator (I do) others use half. Personally I find it difficult to only get half out because it's not a massive quantity anyway

So you want to dry out your mucus when trying for a girl? Thanks for answering everything I really appreciate it. I am getting the repHresh, do you suggest taking the vitex with it?? I know I want as acidic as I can get. And as for the vegan prenatal I am going to go look for that maybe. I never took prenatals with the boys.

Anything which lowers fertility seems to sway pink - and drying out cm is one of the things we try to do to achieve this.
Vitex and Rephresh have nothing to do with each other - Rephresh is to keep pH at around 4.5 and also to possibly slow down/kill some of the sperm due to the consistency of the gel. Vitex is to lower oestrogen levels - for a girl we want to lower testosterone levels (which is why some of us also take Saw Palmetto and why the Low Everything diet is low in protein) and also lower oestrogen levels.
Lower nutrients overall are good for a girl so you don't need to take a pre natal at all - likewise with Vitamin C.

1) The cal-mag thing is not originally Dr. Shettles (altho he maybe added it to his book at some point after the edition I read) but the French Gender Diet and you can find that in the Dream Members section (the original book is out of prink
2)Stay away from Vit C, it may help with acidity but it's extra nutrients that your body doesn't need. I just posted a new thread yesterday that was something like "Baby aspirin, cranberry, aspartame" and that will have a lot of other ways todeal with lowering pH without Vit. C

Don't take a prenatal when TTC a girl. Whether you took one before or not. High intake nutrients sway blue.

Most people take 800-1200 mg of vitex.
I do not like Sudafed at all and do not want anyone taking it esp. if you're taking cranberry, baby aspirin, or saw palmetto. It can cause strokes in young women taking it while taking blood thinners.
